Car Care and Detailing Dreams (Part 2)

Dear pakwheelers, Assalam-o-Alaikum

I need some immediate assistance, I recently bought a black corolla. Its a great car as far as the engine and everything else is concerned lekin uske bonnet aur doors pai kahin kahin halkey scratches hain. Main har haftey usey wash aur wax karta hun lekin wax kartey huye scratched dekh ke dil dukhta hai. So I decided to fix them and bought a few supplies without asking anyone. Dukan pai jakey dukandar ke kehney pai mainey kuch cheezain khareed leen hain. They include

1. Turtle wax color magic colour enriched wax polish
2. Formula 1 Scratch out
3. Formula 1 Carnauba car wax
4. Formula 1 Wash and wax (shampoo)

Ab masla ye hai ke mujhey nahi pata ke in main se konsi cheez kesey istemal karni hai. Wash and wax, aur car wax to main har haftey khud karleta hun, lekin scratch out aur color magic ke barey main bilkul koi andaza nahi. Mainey aik painter ko bhi colormagic aur uski chapstick dikhai, us chawal ne chapstick colormagic liquid main dip karkey laganey ko kaha. Mainey aram se gardi nikali aur le aya. Agar mujhey koi bhala admi sirf ye bata de ke inko use kesey karna hai, ya atleast ye bata de ke in cheezon ko lekar main rawalpindi main kahan se kaam karwaon to bohot meherbani hogi.

welcome on car care thread and sorry to hear about ur loss.

i would recomand to visit some good paint shop they will use some cutting creams to remove scratches. well if scratches are on clear coat or max to paint than can be removed by compounds however if its deep to metal surface than cant remove them, infect paint shop will fill the scratch with paint ( qalam ) and after drying process withh do some wet sanding/ compounding to evenout.

do nail test, if ur nail go all through to metal than have to fillup with paint and if scratch on clear coat or max on paint layer than compounding.

pls dont use formulla 1 , its ordinary brand and not good for paint in long run.

turtle color magic is pigmented wax , it will not remove imperfections but for time being mask/hide them. pls read use instructions on back of bottle, after shampoo wash dry car than use chipstick of turtle color magic to fill the swirls and scratches and than mask it with color magic wax

I have got a new Honda City, polished metal in colour.
Got it two weeks Back. Now I want K colour and shine remain the same.
So please help me, which products should I use. I can only wash and spend some time on it every sunday. And please do let me know from where I can get these products from Pindi or Islamabad.

pls buy
meguiars wash and wax shampoo
meguiars gold class wax
meguiars ultimate detailer spray
a set of 3 microfibers from meguiars supreme shine
meguiars endurance tyer gell ( other economical option is armorall tyer foam )
meguiars protectant for interior ( other economical options turtle )

u can get these things from shahid autos islambad and dubai autos pindi
give them car care thread ref or durrani / ahsan bhai ref inshallah u will get discounts

Did some engine bay cleaning, couldn't give proper time to it but still gave it a shot because the other day, someone who knows I am a motor fanatic peeked and puked So I thought deekhnay laaik tou ho jae

Used shampoo, few brushes and then interior detailer to make plastics less dry, however they still need a thorough spray of 7CF spray wax and left for overnight to kill the dryness, you can see YELLOW pipes in there, they aren't dirty, or may be they are, at least I couldn't make then change color with shampoo.

Thought of using dishwash liquid but then again, it would dry them up even more...

@rollonbigmama nice effort on the engine bay. Its a great improvement from what you had to start with. Do sand the rust of the battery cover and paint it black. Keep on rollin' ! (H)

now as ahmad bhai has given u detailed advice so now i want to ask about your formula 1 wash and wax shampoo..... kia ye jhaag bnata ha?? becoz mera wala tou nai banata!! bucket ma phr thori bohat jhaag nazar ati ha but car pe sirf water beading hi nazar aati ha !!! just want to ask ,is this a normal thing?? or my shampoo got some issues

My new ride is not black its pollished metal metaic (grey) in color.
Can I use the above mentioned products for it as well. And once a week application is enough?
And what about the wind screen, how to keep it clean and scrach free. Can I use glint? and how to wipe it?

Since it doesn't belong to a known brand, it will be difficult to tell if you wash our car with it. Seeing it's shape, it is probably meant for your rims (while washing) OR interior cleaning(dry for dust removal) .
I don't think wash mitt comes with a steel handle which can easily put a scratch and is also not ergonomically feasible to use it for washing either.

Tip for you:
Pour the shampoo first in the clean empty bucket (around 25ml). Then add water(3-3.5 ltrs) to bucket with as much pressure as you can make with your pipe (with a blocking finger in front ). It will create loads of foam.

Better tip:
Take 2.5L wali PET bottle, pour 20ml shampoo in it, add ample water and shake it to satisfaction. Will give u loads of foam, pump out the foam at the top and shake the remaining mixture yet again to get more foam.

Repeat procedure if you think the shampoo solution is less in quantity overall.
