The car got dirty after i applied megs black wax 2 days ago. My younger bro washed it by hand today with Turtle Ice Shampoo. Attaching two pics:

Reflection clarity is amazing MashAllah... Have you noticed black wax doing some filling to your minor swirls and scratches?

Was hard at work yesterday Still very much a newbie in detailing so shoot any tips or suggestions you all may have.

• Washed the car (meg wash n wax)
• Clayed (meg smooth claykit, thanks to @Bilalicious)
• Washed the car again (meg wash n wax)
• Meg Deep Crystal Polish
• Dodo Supernatural Acrylic Spirit
• AND Meg Ultimate Wax

I've to say after claying, the car's body is as smooth as a baby's butt Here are some pics (apologies in advance for bad quality, taken from cellphone cam):

I got a problem: my car was decorated for a shaadi. After the event I removed the flowers, but the glue from the tape stuck there. I got the car serviced twice, but still the glue didnt go away.

Finally, I gave the glue a hard elbow grease with a normal cloth, and was able to remove it.

Unfortunately, that left permanent marks on my clear coat

I used turtle wax polishing compound, turtle wax hard shell paste, and armorall detailer. Did this twice. The car shines a lot, but the marks are still there

Plz advise.

Not visible in photos.

They are hardly perceptile at certain viewing angles, under specific lighting conditions.

I think they are abrasions in the clear coat.

Do u think I should get rubbing polish done by a paint shop?

I washed & waxed my car by last Saturday.. today i was out & my car was parked in xtreme dark..
then i saw some light on my car & noticed v.few flakes.. i didnt know were they flakes or not..
so i put my cell fone's camera on, & got a pic of car's Hood..
so guys tell me what is it.. Flakes or not??????

i can understand ur feelings as when i spent couple of hours on my any of car and went out and or while in parking any light on my car how she sparkle like star thoes feelings are soo great

gee bhai these are flakes which poping, though u can enhance them with some natural waxes or glazes

mashallah seems smooth shiny car skin
salam to ur dedication however next time do some change in work flow like
claying-polishing -apc wipe or sealant surface prep polishing- sealant - finishing wax
dc polish having rich natural glazing oils and will not give good surface for sealant for good bonding

Wahaj bhai, I recently did one honda city which few weeks back decorated for one wedding and also having scotch tape hard / dry glue residue. I did claying after shampoo wash and safely removed that glue residue. What u did by ragdrai with cloth must have leaved scratches and swirls , in future in this case use claying, cleaner wax or even apc will also do the work. After compounding these marks must removed , try bit better compound like meguiars ultimate compound or bring car to any paint shop for compounding or hot air gun

Bhai jan not many options over finishing wax except layring of another coat of pinnacle souvern and detailer spary. Usualy watery effect comes from synthetic sealants or waxes and if u apply synthetic over natural wax than would be poor bonding and life of that syntheitc sealant or wax would be short but if u are not concern of short life than sure u can experiment this venture. Next time apply sealant / synthetic wax in base ( after proper surface preparation ) and than give 2 coats of natural wax with proper curing interval ( use same natural wax for layering ) pinnacle sovern comes very good on red as this wax leaves red Tinch to paint which further enhance red shade paints

I was a silent observer of this thread and had wish since long to start detailing. As I have entered the detailing world, Please have a look at my efforts on car. This is my 2nd detailing session on my car previously I never ever used any kind wax on any of my cars.
Products used are as follows :
Washed car Meguiars wash and wax using wash mitt and followed double bucket method.
Applied Meguiars Ultimate paste wax on car so far.

Car : Honda Civic I-vtec 2009 Model.

Sorry for bad quality pics. These are taken from smartphone cam. I'd like to ask that my car has developed of swirl marks on trunk due to dry dusting(thanks to our driver). What is the procedure to minimize swirl marks? I have read somewhere in this thread that use of clay kit can reduce the amount of swirl marks but I don't really know how to use clay kit.

Tashkeel bhai you will acheive the effect with a synthetic sealant like the klasse sealant which will reach you in a little time

how to get rid of tape marks from paint?
thought of wd40 but that might remove the part attached by silicon for which tape was applied,so thinking to use hair dryer along wid a cloth?
even after the washes,they r not gone

I am unsure about it being able to damage the clear coat, unless someone used duct tape on it which I highly doubt. The thing that might have happened is that the lint from the cloth might have gotten stuck to the adhesive which usually happens with adhesive over a long time and its a pain to remove it with a compound. In fact I would try ding everything else before using a compound because whatever residue will/might be getting off might rub around the areas as well and mar the paint. So the thing to do is

1. Leave a wet cloth on the spot so that it soaks the place/spot for an hour or maybe even more

2. Use a clay bar divide it in the smallest workable piece that you can manage comfortably. Dont make it too small though! Use the lubricant spray very very generously!

If you dont have a clay bar give it a shot with a heat gun that should do the trick as well and it works well usually with intact stickers just in this case you might have to manually remove the residue. If you can get a clearcoat safe scraper if possible if the clay procedure fails.

Compound is I guess the last option after this
