Car Care and Detailing Dreams (Part 2)

While I've been maintaining the ride externally for some time, this time I decided to cleanup and seal door jambs. Well, they almost always appear cleaner to everyone but are one of the neglected areas that get attention as they aren't visible both outside or inside but only for that moment when the door is open
So, following are the things I used:

1. 3m APC (diluted 1:25)
2. Duragloss Aqua wax (a sprayable sealant from the duragloss range)
3. 2 Towels (one for apc cleanup and other for sealant spreading/buffing)

I dont have before pictures to show here, but the towels condition after cleanup should give you an idea of the amount of dirt I pulled (both sides of the towel):

The area was then drived with a MF.
Duragloss sealant was then transferred to a small finger spray bottle and then sprayed in to the door jambs area, spread and buffed and here is how the door jambs finally looked (bad lighting + mobile cam but should give you an idea):

Some minor Eid detailing with Meg's Wash&Wax followed by Deep Crystal Polish and Ultimate Liquid Wax, After 12 hours Gold Class Carnauba Plus Wax buffed finally with Ultimate Quick Detailer. For trims used Gold Class trim Detailer:

Lets just say yer better off not using it at all.........budget around 2 to 3k for a quality wax......should get plenty of good stuff in that range!

hmm. Shampoo, microfiber, mitt, protectant has arrived, bigner level stuff. for my understanding, the cleaner wax says its one step. Should i follow it with another wax which one? please recommended one.

The other thing, headlights have small dot like stains and bit of smudg like things. How to clean it back to Crystal?

Shampoo, microfiber, mitt is not beginner level stuff......it is washing stuff......as for the one step solution......a cleaner wax would offer some level of cleaning ability using either chemical cleaning agents, solvents and/or some type of abrasives and often times a combination of all three. Cleaner waxes are also referred to as One-Step products or All-In-One products. Cleaner/waxes can be used to restore neglected paint to good to excellent condition depending upon how bad of condition the paint is in and the cleaning ability or strength of the cleaning agents in the cleaner/wax.........now what I am recommending is a finishing wax or finishing sealant which would not contain any ingredients with the intended ability to clean or abrade the paint. Products in this category should only be used on paint in excellent or brand new condition or neglected paints that have been previously cleaned and polished and thus restored to new or excellent condition. For your headlights are they inside or outside lens ? If they are inside, get them professionally repaired.....if they are on the outside, you can easily buff them out with a power tool.

Go to any plumbing store. They can get you a connector fitting and you can then use a local plastic hose. This is what I did at my home back in Pakistan..

The thing you posted in the picture have rotating head. You rotate to change the spray pattern as well as can shut it down. It's like a shower head in your bathroom shower.. you can turn to shut off
Also the grip at the back when you press will let the water go..
