[h=4]Step 1: Clean the Car[/h] Thoroughly clean the part of your car that you want to glaze. It is a time consuming process, so it's best to work on your car only one section at a time. Move your car into your garage or otherwise out of direct sunlight because too much heat or sun can evaporate the glaze before you have time to apply it right. In the event that your car glaze starts to evaporate too fast, wash it off right away. Dry glaze where you don't want it will be difficult to remove.
[h=4]Step 2: Apply Glaze[/h] Apply some of the glaze to your polishing rag, and polish the exterior of the car thoroughly. Use the glaze sparingly, because only a certain amount can penetrate the surface of the paint at a time. Over application can damage the paint and leave difficult to remove residue.
[h=4]Step 3: Wipe off the Excess[/h] Wipe off all excess residue from the section of the car you have been working on. It is important that you do this immediately, because the glaze quickly hardens and becomes very difficult to remove.
[h=4]Step 4: Apply Wax[/h] When you're done with a section, let the glaze dry for a minute before you cover it with a layer of wax or protectant. This is very important because the glaze can be easily scratched or damaged from exposure to the outside environment. If you're going to apply the wax by hand, you should make sure the area is dry before you start. Also keep in mind that thin layers of wax look better than heavy ones.
[h=4]Step 5: Spot Treatment[/h] If any of the wax or glaze is applied unevenly, you are going to have to do treat these places. There are a number of products that are designed to correct such inconsistencies, and these are relatively inexpensive. Some come in foam or spray form, and they are great for removing small problems such as streaks or smears. A great example of this type of product is Pinnacle Crystal Mist Detail Spray.
If you want your car to really shine, the best product to use is car glaze. All vehicles in car shows use glaze, so if you are entering in one of these, you are going to have to know how to apply it. Fortunately, the process of applying car glaze is fairly straightforward and easy, so you shouldn't have too much trouble getting it to work.
