Car Care and Detailing Dreams (Part 2)

As a noob newbie i was not much interested in car's before joining PW's , was happy with my Schwinn carbon fibre S20 mountain bike & junoon bike . This car was garaged for more than 3years , Yesterday detailed it by following the guru's posts and happy with result .

Meg wash & wax
Meg ultimate compound
Meg ultimate polish
Meg Ultimate paste wax

I have been following this thread since 3 weeks and also after watching a lot detailing videos from YT. I think I'm now ready to start detailing my car.

But still I'm confused at one point.

Now what?

Polish or Wax?
Sealant.

Compounds offer a varying level of cut based on its abrasives (which can be diminishing or non diminishing). In case of diminishing (Meg ultimate compound e.g) the abrasives break down and leave your surface glossy (requires you to know how to do it e.g. Pad pressure, changing pad to lighter cut when abrasive has broken down). So, no polishing required mostly in this case.

If your compound leaves marring (common with non diminishing compound e.g m105 then you need to use a finishing polish e.g. M205.

So polishing is optional and you do it when needed.

After correction, then you can either seal or wax or do both.

Okies....you got the analysis right..this is oxidation.....needs an abrasive, last time I had this situation on a beemer 7 an she needed a wetsand to take it all out, but preferably, get some oils into the paint, glaze, nourish it, an then go with any abrasive for the removal, if yer in Lahore, bring it by the studio...an I`ll sort it out for you.

Detailed my ride yesterday. Due to some rain the car had got very dirty and was demanding some love and care:P and also i needed to test my new products thanks to @aerojet.

Well the car has got quite a few swirl marks so decided to use ultimate compound on the car by hand but it wasnt giving me satisfactory results so decided to abandon it and used ultimate polish by hand which reduced the swirls to some extent and increased paints clarity and depthness. Topped up the ultimate polish with NXT 2.0.

Process:

1) Cleaned the tyres with two bucket method with one bucket filled with turtle wax F21 shampoo and APC while the second bucket was filled with water. But I rinsed and cleaned the second bucket after each tyre becuase it was getting very dirty. Next i cleaned the tyres and wheel arches with SUFI SOAP because it doesnt leave the plastic and tyres dry.

2) Cleaned the whole car with Turtle Wax F21 using double bucket.

3)Dryed with water magnet.

4)Polished the car with ultimate polish.

5)topped up with NXT 2.0 tech wax. I have observed that this wax gives out alot of flake pops as compared to Ultimate liquid wax and these flakes gives a fake impression of dust particles on the car:P

6)Dressed the tyres with Son Of a gun tyre protect Foam or something like that:P

Now let the pictures do the talking(sorry for crapps pics, didnt have a proper camera with me). After this Inshallah will wash the car with Dodo juice basics of bling shampoo and i think the wax will last till next year.

Excellent job bro, how did u use sufi soap ? U diluted it in water or just rubbed it on tires and tire wells ?

Well said abdul bahi ,but mostly its preferable to do polishing even over ultimate compound or change the pad and use ultimate compound as polish well i prefer claying or sometimes wash after compounding cause the base after this process is prepared best cause the surface will be without any protecting and will be swirl free best to do polishing on which mean longer protection and outstanding results:) though saturday ko Mashallah vitz buht hi sundhar lag rahi thi :Dpso kai pump per

Very nice outcomes with such highend products MashAllah. So a question that I typically ask (and have asked you in past), how would you compare Fuzion on Silver with your experience on other waxes. Is Fuzion out-of-the-world on silver and worth the price tag?

I like it .application is easy.
Its now no 1 in my books which comes best on silver.it totally worth its price tag. Its even better than liquid soverian wax
