Car Care and Detailing Dreams (Part 2)

I know the pictures are not doing justice at all. I will snap pictures today Insha-Allah. Yesterday there was so much dust that while working on any one part, the rest of the car used to get a lot of dust. I had to work extra.

to me car color seems quite sharp and more deep red compare to orangish honda color tone
, yes swirls are finish and better reflections. defiantly ur cell phone camera not doing justice with ur work. detailer spray or water based sealant spritz are good for less dust attraction as well as enhance life of wax coat

I am planning to give it a coat of Supernatural coat today. What do you suggest?

Hello Everyone!
Am a newbie on car care and detailing. I have had lotta cars in the past (still have a 8th Gen 2009 Civic) but never really thought over detailing. Driver just did what drivers usually do: wash daily and then clean with a cloth.

I have recently bought a black colour 9th Gen Civic (last week) and accidentally dropped over in this forum. Looks like very informative. However its not humanly possible to read the hundreds (thousands if you count the part 1 of this forum) of pages of discussion here.

So I turn to writing this scribe and asking for a little help from the good people here

Considering am a complete newbie, plz guide me step by step on what should i be doing to care for my new car (black color) in terms of waxing/polishing/washing etc. Which products to use, how to use and how frequently to use !

Your kind help and advise will be much appreciated

Now the following both pictures are for comparison. First one is after using 3M Advanced Tucking Rubbing Compound but without Swirl X. Second one is after using Meguiars Swirl X with DA and 3M Yellow Pad.

dodo supernatural acrylic sealant spritz spray

hoon, i would suggest you 1 or 2 more coats of dodo purple haze for better coverage as well as more depth than use dodo supernatural acrylic spritz, well supenatural spritz is water base so u can use it in any stage like before wax or after wax , its safe and upto u

Used my Self Made Quick Detailer Spray. Still in experimental stage. I wonder does anyone here has any formula which should be practical and not copied from other places. And which is also suitable for Pakistani conditions.

All of the pictures are snapped from Q Mobile A600. So definitely the results are not up to mark. I wish I had not forgotten my Camera back at my home.

first all heartily congrats you for having new car , mashallah one of best new car locally avilable , may Allah prove it safe ride for u and ur love ones ( ameen ) and 2ndly i am sad to inform you that soon u going to be addicted of car detailing :D.

No doubt black look very ellegent in civic but its bit difficult to care in the environment we are living , specially dust attraction.

we have locally avilable couple of detailing brands in differnt price range, so all depend how much u would like to spend on ur new ride than can guide u best products fall in ur budget.

mainly u need following stuff

1) car shampoo
2) wash mitt
3) microfiber clothes
4) a good natural wax
5) detailer spray
6) interior detailer
7) tier foam or gell

since car is just new so for time being no need for polish.

p.s stay away from service stations and surf car wash plz

never tried sufi soap on tire or for anything,dont know its price either but son of a gun tire foam is quite cheap n all u have to do is just spray n tyres become as good as new

karchar was on sale few weeks back on metro and 100 bar washer was rs8k, for home use its fair enough pressure but i heard thoes washers sold in matter of few hours

now its avilable at karchar dha lahore office i think @rs12k or may be 14 k.

foam lance bottle u have to buy extra , dha lahore office having small bottle may be 0.3 liter rs 1800, they dont have big bottle and can arrange roughly rs3500 btw fairline also ok for home use as all are china made

the orange shower u showing in pic is good enough provided its connected with motor as normal tab water flow will not give strong showering

fairline's price was reduced from 5.4 to 5k so i thought even if karcher was on sale for 8k,its original would b 9-10k but if its 12k then again its out of range
as for bottle some1 said its for 1k but even 0.3ltr costs 1.8k :o
seems i should just drop the idea at all

isnt sidewall the side which u face while facing rims unless if u r talking about the side of tyre that runs on the road

Yes it is where tyre name and size is embossed.

well then its the same place i was talking about,just spray son of a gun tyre foam,it takes care of everything,cleans dirt n gives it a fresh black look even if u dont clean the tyre first
