Praising for the pictures and reflection shots implied praising for your work You have to share a full car shot though to get an idea on how it looked overall but seeing the reflection shots, it does look good MashAllah. Definitely an upgrade from your prior usage of caasmic, you'll just have to wax quite often as this wax wont be too durable.

About carnauba, it comes in different grades of purity and one of the reason some waxes are so expensive than the rest is because of the type of carnauba (T1, T3, T4 etc which reflects purity levels) they have in it and the %age of carnauba (even the bestest of waxes costing thousands of dollars contain 65-70% carnauba). When you see a wax claim 100% carnauba, it means the wax component used in the wax is dervied from carnauba only and no other waxes such bees wax, fruit waxes etc are there.

I remember reading on a dodo forum that there cannot be a wax that has more than 60% carnuaba...

But this is not R18 :). I have sold my city and bought same color a bit newer version city :). But this has an additional feature of 15 inch low profile and a very heavy sound system. Outer side is also a bit new :). I ll do small detailing and then shall upload the complete pictures.

Thanks for the offer sir. I had my bros meguair clay kit (rs3k). It did like 90% of the job on a small spot I tried. But didnt remove it fully. I guess would need an aggressive bar. What do you recommend.

with ref to your pm , i am using 3m professional clay bar and its stronger in action than meguiars , try that and u dont need compound or polish for that purpose

I am really inspired by all the work i saw in this thread. I stepped into detailing too, though i am a noob in all this, do not have such high end products to detail my ride with. I never ever got anything else but a cosmic or turtle wax.
So as i want to take a start, i started with Turtle Ice Liquid clay ! I do not wanted to spend 4k for claybar of Megs as im not experienced.
Obviously i could not start with high products directly as i do not want to mess up and waste money. Gradually i would be getting experience and getting new products.

Second thing is that my house in the new area is being built up so for the time being i do not have garage :(, so i have to use spray gun to wash my ride which doesn't work well. I also wanted to buy Turtle shampoo (costing 1000rs), but i couldn't use it, that is the main problem i couldn't spend a time detailing and i could not detail it well without washing the ride first !

How ever so i used Liquid clay first , and than i applied Cosmic wax. Result is not jawdropping, but i hope if i use any good wax it will be.
Should i move to Turtle Platinum wax ? Or which wax i should buy under 1200rs.

Though Cosmic doesn't work so well, but it did after claying it. I couldn't expect miracle from Cosmic so the results seems pretty good to me .. But its not the deep dark shine in the body... What i should apply for that

Ahmad bhai please guide me how to use the #7 glaze, I didnt get any decent masking on clear coated paint, though its great on margalla.

polishes and glazes comes best with electrical polishers as these polishers help to evenly distribute the product and massage thoroughly which is very important for glaze , u can use microfiber pads for hand application but u need to massage thoroughly till glaze start disappearing or become part of paint than buff out with clean microfiber, do panel by panel.

In case u failed to massage thoroughly and product still left on surface than its quite hard to remove ( i still remember Amir bhai used hot moist microfiber to remove #7 glaze in chill cold of Canada as its not very easy to glaze car in very cold weather by hands )

who said natural waxes dont give reflections ? further not every wax is 100% carnauba as carnauba it self in hard rock shape and not consumable as it is on paint so ad other ingredients in car waxes but if carnauba % is more than other ingredients than fall in natural wax category, even many companies claim their waxes as natural even having less than 50 % carnauba contents. Than purity of carnauba also matters a lot in overall quality.

The only Meguiar product I use now is ultimate compound and nxt shampoo and wash and wax. I have however converted many people from cosmic to Meguiar products. Do I qualify for a calendar ?

Later edit: Now that I think, I also use meguiars supreme shine towels and Endurance tyre gel. Ofcourse, I have also used NXT and Ultimate wax but gave away the jars after using those a couple of times.

Almost all the products I use are from meguiar, pads/towel/MF/wax/polish/claybar/compound etc.

Deep Crystal polish is awesome to get those flake pops going and gives nice depth.

Ultimate wax, awesome for reflections and is very easy to wipe off unlike some others that I've used prior to ultimate wax.

Experience with nxt shampoo was almost similar to how you had described. Good value for money shampoo if you get its 2ltr bottle which I did. One of its highlighted characteristics is it softens the hard water. Although I am not quite sure if we have hard water in our area but using the shampoo does make it easy that even if it is, the shampoo will take care of softening it. Its a more concentrated version than wash n wax shampoo (which ofcourse has wax in it) and as suggested it by you I use it with a 1oz:6ltr dilution. First pouring the shampoo in a clean bucket and putting water with a pressure, it gives great suds. After the wash it has a very good shine/gloss and doesn't attract dust (which wash n wax does a bit).
