Salam Guys...!
Sharing this review as per @ahmad_yar bhae's post since I was held eligible for a calendar and this post was rendered "udhaar"
So starting off with a specific product name followed by the comments, I am not an extra ordinary detailer with rainbow stash, just a guy who loves his cars cleaner than the rest around.
I hope I do it right, here it goes.
So far, I have used:
-Meguiar's Gold Class Liquid Carnauba
-Meguiar's NXT Gen Tech Wax
-Meguair's Ultimate Wash n Wax
-Meguiar's NXT Wash and wax
-Meguiar's Gold Class Endurance Tire Gel
-Meguiar's Ultimate Compound
-Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer
-Meguiar's Ultimate Wax
Meguiars Gold Class Carnauba Wax:
I upgraded to megs gc after cosmic korea about two years back, I must say this product is a fantastically amazing value for money! Simply the best! No other product in this price range returns results like this.
I have had the pleasure of using it on both dark and lighter shades. Be it silver, light green, gray, black, red, blue or solid white, megs GC satisfies em all.!!!
The man behind this product mst know the basics of detailing and paint surface response to certain procedures, thats all it needs. Regular use provides immense gloss and depth on a properly cleaned and polished paint.
9.5/10 for the product keeping in mind what it costs in today's market. Anything better than gold class would easily set you back more than 5000 Rs!
Meguiar's NXT Liquid Wax: This one is quite a nice product, easy on easy off stuff! Delivered with a regular sized foam applicator pad, it serves you perfectly whenever you feel the need to escape a waxing session for a fortnight or so. I have multiple times experience of applying a dual coat (with an interval of 12 hours) on freshly cleaned paint. It stays on and beads water for more than 15 days with 3 wash sessions performed with the correct gear and products.
It has, however, a tough competitor in the market: 3M Performance Finish Syn Wax, falling within the same price range.
At times, I felt 3M's gloss scale to be slighty better than this one, but the downside is the application. It leaves wax marks if not buffed properly, applied in "more than required" amount or applied the wrong way by an inexperienced person. These marks tend to show up with the accumulation of dust.
Not going off topic any further, NXT has the edge of easy application on the basis of which I would rate it 8/10. If you feel like having it, go for it!
Meguiar's Ultimate Wash n Wax: One of the best choices out there, a perfect wash and wax that a car can have! The foam it produces is just the perfect amount while costing the bottle a mere 75% of a table spoon. Totally enough for one car. The price its offered at is extremely competitive for what the other products in this price range have to offer.
I usually utilize it with slightly warm water and the "shake! shake! foam!" method I use to mix it with water
I found its cleansing action to be good enough for an un-waxed extremely dirty vehicle. Just the right wash mitt an the right brushes, your good to go with it!
9/10 on my scale.
Meguiar's NXT Wash n Wax: Ummm.... I bought it.... I used it... Used it again... Tried to devise the best way to obtain optimum results.... Not satisfied! The foam produced by this shampoo and its cleansing action gets easily beaten, or rather "smoked" by another product known as "Sonax Ultra Gloss Shampoo".
Don't know why, may be it doesn't go well with the hardness scale of the water in my area. But for me, it never worked well. It mostly produced VERY little foam which during the rinsing process changed to slimy water sort of thing in the bucket.
5/10. Buy Ultimate Wash n Wax instead of this one or sonax, they're value for money!
Meguiar's Gold Class Endurance Tire Gel: Thinking to detail your car's rubber? Two words for you: Meguiar's Endurance! Nothing else in the class that I have used beats its performance.
Easy Peasy application, Long lasting effects, Many different results achievable with a single product, economical and easy on the pocket.
Need a hot shine, apply two coats with an interval of 15 minutes. Want a satin black look? Apply and wipe the tire with a damp cloth after 10 minutes. It lasts for days even in rainy weather, storms, dirty splashes, mud etc etc. Just make sure not to use an extremely harsh product while washing the wheels and tires, they would still have the solid matte black new look after drying up.
10/10!
Meguiar's Ultimate Compound: This one is also a champ, I have corrected paints with it, removed wet sanding marks, buffed headlight lenses... Heck I even removed wiper marks from a nearly dead windscreen!
It responds excellent to almost every way you play with it. Use it at high speeds for a heavy cut, turn to a slower mode when feel the need for a decent swirl removal and a polish effect.
Requires a very little amount as compared to other correction products for a panel. Have corrected many panels on several cars, even wet sanded hoods and doors. One or two screw ups with the sanding but this one saved the day, no loss Alhamdolillah!
It has done it all for me, as a consumer end product. Just remember to use it the correct way with the correct equipment involved, I doubt you'll prefer anything to ultimate compound.
10/10
Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer: If you're in love with matte finish on your car's dash, this one is surely for you. It covers almost all the areas in a car's interior, leaving a perfect finish on clean surfaces. Revives dry plastics if used correctly, keeps instrument cluster lenses shiny for long periods.
The cleansing action is however "could be better" stuff for me, I found certain other products to be superior in that regard.
7/10.
Meguiar's Ultimate Wax: This one is a lovely choice for light colours! Superb gloss and reflections for white an silver! Protection usually lasts more than 12 days for correctly applied product and properly washed vehicle. Use it in combo with a Pure carnauba wax for Ultimate results.
Dust attraction scale is low, body surface can be easily revived to "just detailed" state with a detailer wipe after a long day in the cockpit.
Application is easy, throw in a detailer's wipe with Ultimate Detailer Spray an you'll surely achieve optimum performance.
Value for money, 9/10 from me!
I have also started using Meguiar's Gold Class Leather wipes recently. Initial impressions seem good, however don't have much to review it as such over here.
P.S: Pardon any mistakes or typos up there.
