Honda City 2012.
A new car as well, rarely sees daylight and dust. I left it at a service station with a driver because I had to run a small errand, iska number nai aaya tha us waqt. My intention was only and only to get the undercarriage washed.
But when I came back, he was already applying surf on it
So I was left with trillions of cobwebs on the paint. So I started the cleaning first, badges and corners with a mixture of Presoak, shampoo and water in 1:1:10 ratio. Used a 1.5" soft bristle paint brush for the job.
For the window edges and other tight spaces where stuff had dried up, I used Astonish Orange Multi-Surface Cleaner. Left for 5 minutes, and then scrubbed it hard with brush and pre-soak mixture.
Then carried out double bucket wash with Kenco Wash mitt and Sonax Gloss Shampoo. Dried it with Synthetic Chamois (Sonax) first and then blow dried all the tight spaces.
Turned to the paint condition then, used Meguiar's SwirlX with Megs Soft Foam applicator pad and started very gentle massage on the surface. Took me 5 hours to get rid of the damage but I had peace of mind because I used no harsh product and no harsh method like a rotary or anything.
Applied a coat of 3M Performance finish and then carried on with 2 coats of Gold Class with standard curing time in between. Didn't glaze it as I left my glaze bottle in another car and that was far away
Treated all plastics and rubbers with STP Son of Gun followed by Turtle Ice Synthetic Paste wax including wheel caps.
Meguiar's Endurance Gel on the tyres.
Interior Vaccumed, rest was clean and well treated.
