Car Care and Detailing Dreams (Part 2)

So weather was 12C in the morning around 6am. I drove 2 hour earlier to just remove the salt out from the car as around 9am it was getting cold again. Warm water. No shampoo whatsoever. even no microfiber touched.

Hello Everyone,

I was contacted by this discerning owner to give his Pcars a wash, clay, light polish and paint sealant. I started with the 2013 Carrera 4S.

After the waterless wash and clay bar step I began polishing the paint.

This picture shows the paint condition before.

Here you can see the right side of the vehicle corrected.

Sadly the front half of the vehicle had poorly applied clear film so all I could clean up was the slight swirling on the clear film and not the actual paint.

This is the results of my effort.

I then started on the 08 Turbo Cab.

Same issue, the owner is really trying to protect the vehicle by applying clear film to half the vehicle which trust me isn't cheap but the swirls and paint defects are still trapped under the clear film and it was applied before he received the car. I always suggest hiring a professional to make the paint as perfect as can be before clear film is applied.

i polished what I could which was still a good chunk of the vehicle.

After I went around the vehicle I applied this new Japanese windshield coating which acts like rain-x but lasts longer and makes the windshield less prone to scratches from ice scrapers, wipers etc.

I also gave the interiors a light spruce up and sprayed down some anti-microbial spray so fabrics wouldn't smell after some time in storage.

Sorry no outside shots but here are the results. Sorry about the blurry pictures.

Soft top was sealed with fabric sealant (4+ months durability)

All done.

Wow! No detailer spray because purple haze is a natural wax?

omar bhai jan , dodo juice purple haze is natural wax but surprisingly attracts less dust as its provide very smooth silky skin and dust cant resist to air but still being natural wax its attract dust and detailer wipe is must but dont give detailer wipe on fresh wax layer as its also wipe a part of wax with it , better give some curing time and than give detailer wipe ( based on personal experience )

Here present you my recent weekend detailing karnama.

This reborn treated by Dodo Juice Lime Prime polish with Portercable DA polisher and Lake Country ccs White polishing pad, spead 3.

Lime prime is light polish which remove minor imperfections and its glazing oils mask most of them, Color become quite dark deep and put a transparent clear coating on surface, resemblence to high shine quartz coating.

Top up with Dodo Juice Purple Haze soft wax by hands and used Lake Country ccs red hand applicator pad, this wax gave depth to paint , trasparent , clear and crisp reflections and give depth in black color.

just a simple process make car skin like black pearl mashallah

A lil background, bro's friend asked to detail his car (which is a 1996 Civic in white color and in pretty bad shape) so we told him it will take around half a day+-. He then asked to do only the bonnet to see if detailing is of any use or not (a noob he is :P)

Used the following products:
- Meg's MF's/towel/pads
- Meg's claybar
- Meg's Ultimate Compound
- Dodo supernatural acrylic spiritz
- Meg's Ultimate Wax

Procedure:
- First washed the bonnet
- Clayed
- Washed again
- Compound and then compound again
- Dodo supernatural acrylic spiritz
- and finally Ultimate wax

Pretty sure he'll now want to get the whole car detailed
The pictures from my cellphone cam are not doing justice as the difference is literally HUGE if seen from the naked eye:

p.s lol just doing the bonnet was a hard job xD since I don't have a polisher with me so hands it is!!

mark-able difference great, that guy definitely will ask about whole car..

By the way I also have the option to change the color to black. It looks amazing when its clean but I never kept a black one before so I don't know how hard it is to maintain. Seems like I will have to wash it daily and may be wipe it with a quick detailer in the middle of the day as well which would be quite difficult for me. I mostly drive in Rawalpindi and Islamabad area so anyone who lives in this area and has a black car since at least a couple of months would be the best guide here. What are your suggestions?

Thank you for the detailing session on my wine Allion last month in lahore. The next day I did apply another thin coat of DodoJuice Purple Haze and then Supernatural acrylic detailer and shine and depth further increased! The results were
I travelled to Isb the day after and on my stopover at Bhera i did notice the car was much less dirtier than other cars parked besides which means the detailer was doing its job Also i hope ure bones are fine after that gymnastic fall. At the moment i thought lagta hai aaj hospital waalein ahmad bhai ki detailing karein gey because the 'thudd' was soo loud! Allah aap ko hamesha hifaazat mein rakhey

Ive finally finished reading both parts of the thread. Took me a few months to read up on it I would like to thankyou ALL senior & junior members for making this thread so informative and giving me OCD virus.
Today was sort off holiday for 12 rabiul awal so finally got time to do some detailing. it was my second time doing detailing (first one was wid ahmad yar bhai last month).

bhai jan black car more demanding than wife and if black car daily runner tab tu shadhi totnay kay shadeed chances hain

Ok so i am with @chaudhary9 to make his car get rid of the scuff marks
After about 30 minutes of working and talking it is all good now and hope he is satisfied
Used microfiber covered foam pad, microfibers , mothers scratch remover, meg's ultimate compound, 3m performance finish and meg's #26 wax

Used scratch remover and then compound and then scratch remover again on all areas by hand
Both by me and by chaudhary

Here are the pre and post shots i hope you can see the difference
Its a lot dusty outside so dust keeps coming on and on

The door handles needed work as well so did that too

Stick with silver
Black is too difficult to maintain all alone
And it's not forgiving in any way
Plus its too dusty now a days
But yes it looks awesome right after a proper great detail

Yes you are right, black has no comparison when detailed till the time dust settles over it. I'll stick to Silver

I have gotten black now, had a charcoal grey before
But in my side of town, specially right across the house, playing grounds create a hel lot of dust and no matter how much jaw dropping awesomeness i create it gets heavily dust covered quickly

Oh i should mention the scuff mark removal work on chaudhary9 civic also included three wax coats one of 3m performance and 2 of megs # 26 to give the area proper oiling hazed and buffed each coat independently
But did not gave curing time to the first two coats

it was nice having you over again

got rid of bonnet lines as well

compound requires alot of force (felt it since i dont compound) but result is pretty sweet too

scratch lines at both sides gone

door handles had lines as you can see in the pics,now you can even use them as mirrors

got lots of tips about detailing

those areas feel very lucky to have seen wax after a very very long time
since i havent been getting right time for waxing
