Well as a matter of fact, i wetsanded as per he advice of ahmad bhai,today with the help of my denter-it was my first time. I brought the car straight home after refusing to use cheap cutting cream.
I called up optimum motorsports and found out that they were out of ultimate compound. I guess ill just have to wait..
I did the interior on sunday with pretty decent results will post results soon..

Ok good to hear you have gained some experience! The interior will make great before/after shots and so will the paint as soon as you get the compound.

i have civic 2004 which is a daily runner ,It has few scratches on it all over but car shines great ,it also has few humps in doors,rear side trunk area (right left both) ,car is not accidented at all but these things make my heart sink .can any body help me out ? especially vague_one ?

What color is it? Please post pics of the scratches to know how they look. To test whether a scratch is deep enough glide your fingernail perpendicular to the scratch; if it gets stuck then its deep but if it experience less resistance then its shallow and can be repaired easily by either compounding the area or by filling in the scratch with touch up paint and then compounding to level the paint surface. Scratches, dings, dents.......are a part of any cars life so don't get disheartened; learn to live with them and move on or fix them if they can be. You may visit a dry denter to heal the dents.

4.5 liters of petrol :-#........4.5 liters of pre-soak or apc would have been better than that. You live in Lahore and can easy get pre-soak from SACA at Montgomery road or APC from Dc wax shop......keep that in mind next time. Today was quite a sunny day so I hope you dried them in that heat which will evaporate the petrol and get rid of the smell.

there is only one apc n that is of 3m
other is presoak of turtle
shops in F10 dont even know what is APC, you should have asked from shahid autos when they'll have it again

Thanks Alot Ahmed Bhai. It's just last year I bought this car from my dad. He bought it new in 2007 and it is only driven 23000km till now. However he did not pay much attention to exterior. I am trying my best to keep it in good condition and you have been a great inspiration.
Although with busy hospital schedule finding time is hard but it is definitely worth the satisfaction.

It has been your amazing work and a lot of help from StrikerX that was my inspiration to detail my car often..

car just could of months old and 6k driven but due to dry dusting and surf wash car showing lot of swirls , dryness in skin
so aim was feeding more and more natural oils to bring back her skin lost moisturizer and depthness in paint

2) Meguiar's M105 with Rotary polisher and Meguiar's burgundy cutting pad ( just on hood, roof, back hood and both bumpers )

@ahmad_yar Another black civic which was 'cared for' by using surf :P. MashaAllah. The before after shot is just amazing and paint looks way better than the factory finish. The matte look of the interior combined with your photography skills is great. The owner needs to get the upholstery fixed; its all wrinkled and ruins the whole image.

Aun bhai new civic leather seats are not boby fit stitched and they copied merc loose fit stitching with creases

1. Was it the hardness of paint that require use of 105 over something lesser abrassive (ultimate compound, m83, D151 etc)? Or was it so badly swirled in just few months that a harsher abrassive was need to get rid of the damage?

Car daily washed with surf so there were heavy swirls speically hoid. Roof and back hood plus bumpers having scratches . Owner having pet cats so couple of nail secratches on hood
Ultimate compound is not recomanded by rotray being its break in time less so comes good by da polisher and by hands.
This is reason for theee panels used 105/205/ultimate polish while rest car ultimate compound and ultimate polish with da.
On avg I take 3 hours for compound one sedan car as this is most important prep step which help to achive desire finish.

Dear bhai glaze dont mask deeper scratches. Glaze just mask minor imperfection but here black hole used to enrich the dry paint. Depthness in shade

yes presoak n apc are almost same thing but of different brands n may vary in concentration, presoak is of turtle
