yes, if technique is correct one can pull off a job nearly if not exactly as equal to a polisher by hand.

Yep, megs ultimate polish and compound are both extremely user friendly and can be applied with hand or a DA polisher.
From what i experience, the advantage of applying it with a DA is that you can apply thinner, even-er and you can massage the glazing stuff into the paint and still have energy left to wax your car afterwards. I've applied ultimate polish with hand too and i didn't notice much different except less swirls were masked. The results are very good. A must have in your arsenal.

Apply a thin layer in circular motions and buff off immediately afterwards.

Base prep is always a good idea, just dont play with abrasives too often;)
Apply in thin circular motions and buff off immediately- no hazing.

Everybody has their own opinion.
I would seriously reccomend #26 paste wax for white because it is hybrid and contains carnauba which will amplify flake pops which are rarely visible in his paint. Then it is also half synthetic so it increases the reflectivity of the paint and lasts longer than a pure carnauba wax in this range.

Edit- though there is one negative element. The carnauba isnt very refined as gives off a yellowish tinge so beware!

Omar bhai, #26 is good but with regular use after a year or so it would turn the white color Pale...
Regarding the flake pops, this honda city is not pearl white. This is a single stage white color which does not have metallic flakes in it. So thats the reason you dont see it in his car. Toyota even uses single stage black paint. So no flakes on black corollas as well .
Honda has metallic black. But whites are single stage in both cars. These are also called Solid paints.
