Car Care and Detailing Dreams (Part 2)

I was planning on polishing and sealing the whole car after claying it. But it rained on Tuesday and the car got extremely dirty. I washed it with ice shampoo TWICE but still i was unable to get rid of the tar marks,etc. While drying the car it started to drizzle. It stopped after 5 minutes so i dried the car after rinsing it again. Then I brought out the can of gold class, planning to do the hood only and see how this paint reacts to its first wax coat. As expected i ended up waxing the whole car. Got rid of the tar marks with a clay bar! But the car still needs a clay and polishing session.

MashAllah ! New gari ko bhi nahin baksha aap nay ! Jigz.....sahi rastay par laga hua hai ! Wetness to hai looks mai.....but waiting on that clay and polishing session....tab to shadeeed mazzay ayengay ! Aur yeh bonnet hi karna tha lekin pouri gari ho gae is preeeety common !

thanks alot paajee ! you are right I do need to step up the game, lately I am becoming lazy but will change these habits, the thing is mostly the car is with my dad in ISB so he gets the car washed from service station and all the hard work I do on the paint is gone to hell, I even at one point gave up detailing and was throwing away my products but thanks to this thread and you guys I realized I was being an imbecile and decided not to give in.

I`ll admit to one thing.....I myself get withdrawn from detailing at times....but then again seein all the work around here, I set about doing some project cars myself too.....like this alloy job......
........filled with brake dust.....water spots....metal fillings....you name it an this guy had it ! Neways first up iron remover........
........aggitating with some wheel cleaner......
..............washed an dried an brought inside for the claying................
.........then some hand polishing an sealant prepping.......

......an wallah ! The beauty.........

Nearly 3 months after the full detail and still getting loads of beading. Plus the dark tint due to the Blackfire Sealant looks stunning. Just a routine wash with AG conditioner. Sorry coudnt take pics inbetween.

The interior was done with AG Vinyl & Rubber car + ArmourAll upholstery cleaner

Mind you, I used a crappy cellphone camera to capture these. Didnt have a proper cam near me.

Looks the part MashAllah ! Depth...the finesse...all accounted for ! Working on a such colours is indeed rewarding....an then if its a maintained one.......it`s an experience every time ! So how is the coating holding up? Use the car much or a garage queen ?

Its not perfect Usman bhai. The 30year old paint holds me back from removing the very fine swirls (I managed to remove the majority of those). Its a garage queen but has done around 600-700km's in the 3 months leading to these pictures (mostly motorway millage). The coatings doing gr8. Though the double coating of Meg's GoldClass is definitely wearing off. Beadings there but the way it was for the sealant only. The wax is definitely off.

Gonna visit Lahore soon to fix the paint (since DC isnt coming to Islamabad)

the 2 hours leading to iftaari..... time will fly by and u wont even notice it. Atleast what I do.

Its not perfect Usman bhai. The 30year old paint holds me back from removing the very fine swirls (I managed to remove the majority of those). Its a garage queen but has done around 600-700km's in the 3 months leading to these pictures (mostly motorway millage). The coatings doing gr8. I wouldnt cut this old paint so often. Try to get hold of some poorboys black hole or wolfgang glaze. That should mask em all up. Then seal it up.

And you're right before iftaar you wont feel a thing while detailing. Just dont stop!
We usually eat so much at iftaari that we can't do much afterwards..

After the last session the car sat in the garage and so the dust accumulated on it so I thought of spending a little time with the car. another reason was that there was no light :P.

1. blew the dust away
2. DODO Juice Quick detailer
3. buff by hand
4. Results....

Even I skipped myself from detailing for a time being. the time when I roam in my car after full detailing session, some stupid people and jealous mind people must scratched my car, either by key or by nail or some door hitting marks, scratched bumper... hun dasso dil bura ni hoga to kya hoga???

Now its almost more than 2 weeks havent washed my ride, but the layer of dust is medium, not as much in previous times when the ride is without coat of UPW and Sealant...

Mohammed bhai instead of cutting, do try to get your hands on Megs Glaze # 7, it helps in removal of swirls and also give glossy and wet look with depth... dont do dry dusting otherwise there will be a more addition in swirls...

Blackfire (and your detail) FTW ! I love the sealant (actually more than WG which I've used only once). BF is very slick, produces equally good outcomes on lighter colors and the tint you're referring to actually ends up into depth enhancement (ala nuba) rather than darkening the paint for lighter color cars.

Faisal Bhai, meguiars showcar glaze is more of a pure polish. It can't remove swirls but it can mask them for the time being because it has no abrasives. But you can remove oxidation off old single stage paints.Yes it gives an incredible deep wet finish. It doesn't last too long on its own so it is recommended to follow up with a sealant or wax.

Amazing renewal of the rims ! Followed this sequence on FB and it was very well captured.
Which of the wheel brushes work well for agitation on rims with stronger chemicals. I have the valet pro brush (looks exactly like yours) but I fear using it with stronger chemicals...

Car's bonnet was repainted.now the wax dries up on the bonnet leaving dullness.i have also compounded the surface but same results.Any solution??

Umar bhai kuch samjha nahin..
The wax is supposed to haze up and then you buff it off with a mf cloth after a certain time (as per manufacturers recommendation).

Please post a photo in direct sunlight.
