so detailers how do you wash clothes after cleaning your cars??? i just rinse them in running water....

you can use soap like gaye soap etc which have fat and won't dry out micro fibre cloths, surf is not recommended as it will cause it to dry and also a surf particle left may scratch the paint, wash immediately aftr cleaning car would be easier to get rid of dirt, make some lather using the soap leave the cloth for like 15min in it then just rinse with water

Guys, I'm a newbie in this car care system, so tread lightly with me please. Now as far as I know, car detailing improves the outlook of your car and to a certain degree I know that it also protects against corrosion/ erosion/ scratches.
What i need to know is the whole range of benefit one can get out of car detailing? I mean is it worth your sweat and cash?
Secondly, how bad is the service done by local car wash in any filling stations?
thirdly, They often suggest to get oil sprayed to the underside/ engine? what are the pros and cons of that?

I'd much appreciated a detail response keeping in view that I have no knowledge in these things. If convenient pl attach a link to a former relevant post.

Detailing is our passion. Sweat and cash do not make a difference when we detail. They end result is what counts. It involves cleaning the car inside out and protecting it. Benefits- no fading in the sun and prolonged life of the car overall. You feel happy with your car no metter what car you have. And who doesnt like stepping out of a damn shiny car...

How bad is a service station wash- terrible. I would leave my car dirty than give it to them. Dirty cloths, rings, stiff brushes, harsh mean detergents that rape your paint...

Oil on the undercarriage-
Pros-none.
Your car was built with an cavity and undercarriage wax. Anything petroleum based will eat it up.
Oil catches dirt and salt causing corrosion.
Oil destroys suspension rubber bushes and electrical wiring

Loving the quality of your work bro!
Purple haze soft wax- best 'nuba ive come across. It gives high end stuff a run for their life. The first coat will give good results. You'll think your ride is detailed but you can further amplify the results. Once you appky the second coat (after proper curing time) youll be a certified dodo addict. The second coat is where the depth kicks in. My favourite wax.
Make sure you do good base prep otherwise you wont be able to push the wax to its limits. And spread small lines of wax on a 2 sq foot portion of the hood and then spread out with a foam applicator pad. (Priming the pad with detailer spray helps). Since you are using a soft wax, its very easy for it to be overapplied..

Itne degreaser sey kya karo gai?

Thanks for the tips really appreciate them!
I intend to use it on top of m21 sealant as it has no cleaners and I am sure on top of that the depth should be amazing
And yes I guess the degreaser is quite a lot, I was also going for 1 gallon hyper dressing but Ahmed bhai guided me sensibly

Thanks Omar bhai, thanks for such a detailed and simple response. I think, I'll try detailing at least once, see how that works out. I have bought a formula car shampoo, a turtle wax and some microfibre cloth from Metro, link road. Is is enough or have i missed something?
and is there any specific set of guideline available on the PW forums for car detailing? or better yet, is there any detailing shop in lahore that provides this sort of service? I think i'd learn more by watching it done by some expert.

Sir.. just wash my car with car shampoo and air dry it. Opticoat ka kia faida to be honest I am a very very ignorant type in this detailing matters. Trying to learn from everyone out here..

My man....welcome to Detail.....I`d rather put detailing as a matter of personal satisfaction....benefits an all just fall into line! Oil spray on undercarrige...this a good one....:).... prolly got the "Bhai jan suspension sookh gaya hai".......bhai meray.....modern suspensions arent designed with much maintenance in view....the shocks are sealed....the moving components have rubber seals in them...metal to metal contact is at a bare minimum to no existent....so leave out the need for lubricating.....just a good cleanse an yer all set to go !

Try luke warm water with car shampoo........let it soak for a while an then just roll it all up in yer hand for a lil aggitation, rinse it out an yer good to go !
