Car Care and Detailing Dreams (Part 2)

Ride was last detailed almost 6 weeks back just before ramzan..
during eid days & after rains in karachi car was continuously on dirty muddy roads & little bit off road too..
today finally i got 2 hrs free so decided to clean it up..
but still under carriage is dirty didnt see it even..

1st it was rinsed with pressure water generously (with desi suction pumps at home) all stubborn mud gone with that than washed with DODO wax safe shampoo little bit more concentrated, used 3 mitts for top, middle & lower parts of car.. infact i have one wash mitt i was washing it bar bar.. changed clean water bucket 3-4times as there was too much dirt.. shampooed top then rised it, washed the mitt then shampooed then rinsed it, wased the mitt then the lower part..
dried & just DODO detiler spray applied.. (chorr tariqa)

& what i got is........

MASHALLAH... Fahad bhai thats really a nice outcome... but thori si kaam chori chhorein aur full on detailing session kryn...

Worked on my own car after 4 months. Paint was all dirty , dried . Last time waxed with Chemical Guys 3X 4 months back, since then just wash... A complete run up is due , but could not manage it hence decided to use a cleaner wax for the time. Washed with DODO shampoo, Used Meguiars Light Wax, 2 coats with MF applicator, ArmorAll Tire spray for tyres.
Car is back with a clean surface you can see in the pics of the MF applicator that how well the Megs Light Wax works in terms of cleaning. Polishing / Sealant / Wax would be done after 2 months when it would be a nice weather to do so. In the meanwhile have a look at the pics.

nice move with the xxx......ultra nice wax...an the cleaner wax prep......proper way around it ! MashAllah ! Looks the part even after the loooong break !

What you got is love MashAllah ! Glad to see some great recoveries ! Top notch work done bro! An just a detailer spray......shucks.....if only detailing was this easy !

Fill two buckets with water
Place grit guard( if any :P)
Add car soap to one bucket and let the other bucket stay with water only
Rinse down your car
Give a burst from the hose to the shampoo bucket to make suds.
Dip your washmitt in the shampoo solution and soak it well.
Wipe one panel gently in one direction
Work from top to down
After completing one panel go back to your plain water bucket and rub the washmitt inside the water against the grit guard or in my case- bare hands like you wash your hands with soap:P
Squeeze out the water
Dip in shampoo again and continue washing your car
Always go back to your rinse bucket before loading with shampoo

Do this quickly and do not let the shampoo dry
Rinse off the shampoo and check if there is water beading.
Dry the car top-down

Give a detailer wipe or even better, wax it:D

I have no idea how you keep it in such amazing condition. I have seen this car personally and it was sparkling even when you didn't wash it for 6 WEEKS (rehm karo yaar:P). Swirl free, reflective silver paint. Pleasure meeting you that day!

I am generally a very silent viewer of this thread, however a regular reader. It taught me a lot in term of detailing and actually motivated to keep my car clean and SHINY !! I got my new 2nd Gen Prius (2010) a couple of months ago and after reading this entire thread, decided to visit @Ahmed_yar bhai to get essential items.

I never even take pictures after detailing however this time i thought.. why not.. may be I will be able to help somebody or get some help rather

Products & Method

Exterior
- Washed with Meguiars Wash n Wax (double bucket method using wash mitt)
- First rinsed the whole car with water and then rinsed all panels using a washmitt.
- Used different wash mitt for lower panels, which were PRETTY DIRTY !!!
- Went through every panel thrice to ensure that no dirt is left
- Dried the car with small lint micro fiber (got it from Metro, it dries the entire car without having to squeeze the MF)
- Open all doors and cleaned door jambs and other small areas around it
- After drying, applied very thin coat of Meguiars Ultimate Paste Wax and left it to haze for 15 minutes after applying it on entire car
- Buffed with provided Micro Fiber and gave another wipe of the other side for shiny finish
- Applied the same wax of RIMs and buffed off same as above
- Treated all exterior rubbers (wiper and other ones) with Meguiars HyperDressing (1:3 Ratio)
- Treated all plastic trims and number plates with Meguiars HyperDressing (1:3 Ratio)
- Treated types and wheel wells with Meguiars Hyper Dressing as well (1:3 Ratio)

Interior
- Thoroughly vacuumed every inch of mats and areas under the mats
- Wiped all plastic with Meguiars APC (1:15 Ratio)
- Dressed with Meguiars HyperDressing (1:3 Ratio)
- Treated all rubbers around the doors with Meguiars Hyper Dressing

Throughly detailed an xcellent pics......MashAllah...love the outcomes....lets just hope this is a regular feature an not a one off session.

sessions are regular for sure.. this was the 4th in 3 months.. i will try my best to be regular on the thread though...

you see... after a complete session either there is no natural light to take pictures or i m so dead tired for write ups & photography and just cover up the car tightly before going to bed !!!

thanks sir!, if you see my original post that was above this post i also took care of the paintwork on the alloys, clayed them and protected with sealant, they were looking swirl free with flakes, the rim paint is beading water and its holding pretty well now, though now break dust gets very visible which wasn't before, please tell a method for removing break dust, that stuff can be a nightmare, currently using a micorfibre and a dab of meg rim cleaner to remove it,

oh and next time haath thora rakheingay pics kay saath:P, i was inspired by your wheel cleaning on the z4

Use any iron or contaminant remover an some good ol agitation for the breakdust ! JazaakAllah for the kind words !

im planning on hitting the power tool aim in the near future. whats holding me back is my crazy schedules due to which i cant spend alot of time home.....

plus its a 04 Prado gx..... Comes with the standard steel alloys + black trim. Im sure its not single stage.... can it be ????

I was planning on getting the rims repainted... been 10 years. Can I repaint them at home? any products u could suggest? Saw the Porsche's rims being done by you so asking

The paint can be done at home....not a big deal! What I was doing is called plastidip.....that can be peeled off easily....I`d suggest gettin a comp on rent an going for it ! I havent done a gx till yet so no idea....thus was asking ya ! Neways.....lagay raho bhai !

what are the specs of your washer ? which brand ? How many Bar pressure it makes? Whats Your definition of not working properly ? Like its kills the flow for 1 second after every few seconds OR its giving you less pressure ? Or it shuts off.. Or Or Or Or Or...
Next time koi query karein to try to give as much details that would help others answer your query..

I have the same bottle.
Do you mean to say it is not maintaining pressure?
Fill water and pump 5-6 times and recheck. Also male sure u tighten the cap very very tightly so no air can escape.

ok starts from basic/ economical as u stated earlier, get one car shampoo , armorall shampoo or turtle ice shampoo, get turtle wax metalic ( blue jar) , microfiber clothes at least 2, for tyers armorall tyer foam for interior turtle f21 would be economical

ur car 2007 so i understand there would be swirls and scratches but since u dont have detailing experince so better start from said non abressive products and once u have command on products and more knowledge which u going to absorb in coming days here on this thread than go for swirls remover or compounding/polishing etc
