I am sure it's an un-intentional one off and should be given a chance to rectify. Customer satisfaction for even the best of vendors isn't 100%. But what's important is how much they value the customer once he comes back with an issue and the effort they make to keep the customer happy. Guys, need to clean my ride, color is pearl white, parked since 2 years due to the presense of other two cars at home. Now plan to clean it in detail. What stuff to buy? Keeping in mind when you touch the body/paint of the car after removing dust, the polish is still there, the one it came with. So its a new car that hasnt been used. Going to go and get some stuff for it so what to buy and expert suggest me how to clean the engine bay. It has dust but no grease issues since ever. Mashallah.

Husnain, bro if you just simply wash the car and do the baggy test you`ll get an idea of whether you need to clay it or not……else just wash it, use a cleaner wax to get a good base, seal it, an wax it an maintain with waxing……since it’s a light colour, a nuba wont be much noticeable to the novice eye, try out a polymer or a synthetic wax…..so on your list is
1. A good shampoo
2. A good wax
3. Some microfibers

Some additionals I can think of are
1. Tyre gel
2. Window cleaner
3. Trim protectant
For the engine, see if you can find a setup with steam cleaning ability, this will save you a lot of time an hassle, else just cover up the electrics , get some apc an detailing brushes an get the party started !

For instance if a total novice like me wants to DIY detailing from where he should start both on exterior and interior?

What should be be the basic kit?

For interior detailing get some All Purpose Cleaner from Meguiars or 3m, some brushes, microfiber towels, protectant/dressing and start cleaning. Post day time pics so we can see the condition of your car and what it needs.

For product brands and prices members in isb/rwp can guide you better.

Meguiars new car kit has everything you need to get started..

You need a pH balanced wax safe shampoo like turtle ice, meguiars, dc, chemical guys, there are a ton of great products out there and in the end it boils down to personal preference. I like meguiars because i think it is real bang for the buck.

Then you need a couple of microfiber towels. These are all youll use to touch your car. Buy atleast 5 or 6.. IMO the more the better.

You also need a good jar of wax thats non abrasive...

Start off by washing and waxing weekly and slowly move towards more stuff like dressing tires, interior, engine bay, etc.

Apply ultimate paste wax. Let it cure for atleast 12 hours and then apply gold class.

Omer bhai i washed the car with megs wash and wax and then waxed it with ultimate paste wan and now the curing time is complete and car has accumulated little dust so i wanted to ask that how do i remove the dust for applying a coat of gold class? damp microfiber? or anything else?

Rinsed
Sprayed again
Agitated
Rinsed off
Blow dried
Dressed woth hyper dressing diluted 1:4
