Airborne dust and contaminants, you might miss a spot.. dust can always settle on your car unless you have an enclosed air conditioned garage to wash your car.

If you think its the right thing to do, your choice.

There is always a possibility that dust flies onto your car after youve washed it and youre about to dry.

Just by the way guys, i fail to understand why we don't have closed garages of our houses here in Pakistan where dust, contaminants and pollution level is far far far more than US of the A. Our detailed cars here get dusty parked after a few hours. While with the lower dust levels, they need closed garages not as much as we need them. Why oh why?
The next house i design for myself i am placing a closed garage in the design. And for my petrol-head clients i am suggesting it as a consultant, rather i will force it on them. I'd prefer to keep it clean in a closed shutter garage when parked instead of getting it dusty to show off at a visible front porch.

For me drying is the biggest issue .

Sir if you have waxed the car, then drying should be no problem. Use the water sheeting method to dry the car. The wax will repel most of the water, only a little bit of water is left on the panel . Use your microfibre cloth for drying the remaining portion. Trust me, it makes drying much more easier.

What is waffle weave cloth and towel cloth?

Both are microfibers but different textures of microfiber, just the weave of thread that forms the cloth has been made by different techniques. It's not actually a towel cloth but the texture is like a towel on smaller scale.
The texture of waffle weave as name suggests looks like a waffle. This is what waffle weave microfiber looks like

In the other hand I don't know the exact technical name/term for the towel textured microfiber if it has any other name (commonly what we call a microfiber). Even the textures are thicker or thinner (fine or coarse) scaled and of multiple types. And this is what they looks like as the name suggests again

The top one in above picture (blue) is also towards plain side. And the plain one off course has a plain flat texture

Every one is not a professional here
Every one is learning from each other
I've noticed here many members are flying in sky like they are high end professional detailiers and maybe many of them are high end detailers but that doesn't means any one who is newby in detailing will be criticised!
Sorry if my words hurt any one but thats truth!
Its our duty to guide members instead of criticising them
And same goes for the members they should also respect the others here which are guiding them good

We constructed a new house recently. I followed up with my father since day 1 of the design phase, and trust me when I say the car parking was an after thought of the process.

We do suffer a bit, because we did not put enough effort in its plannng at the right time.

Secondly, in Pakistan we are looking for "khula sehan". A covered garage will eat space ofcourse.
