ArmorAll products sit in the middle of the range of shampoos etc. Better than Turtle, Formula1 etc and sit below the Megs, which sit below Chemical Guys etc range....

I have personally used the ArmorAll shampoo (in blue color), and it was good for the price.

All it gives is a temporary shine and later ruins your car texture just after a couple of washes, in the longer run it will start eating the paint as well. It's not even a wax. It's an abrasive shiner that has some compound element in it.
Although as a starter i was a big fan of it but later after trying loads of stuff and with time i realised it can be used as a mild compound but not a wax that gives a sort of protective layer to avoid water marks and stuff.

I disagree bro. Its not a gud wax yes but its nt abrasive and doesnt kil the clear coat. I have used it for yearz without any paint fading or any similar cmplaint .

Bro my experience in Black cars with Cosmic proved to be opposite, the edges (fender edges specially) turned white after few years with passage of time. You wont feel it overall on the body as edges have very thin layer of paint and get vanished easily and secondly also because black color is waxed more often. So the fading won't be visible on flatter surfaces. Hope you got the point. No compound ever applied but still). So i learned the hard way what Cosmic does to a car in the longer run.
This also is hard to experience on other colors being treated with Cosmic as the white edges underneath are not that prominent and also due to lesser buffing as compared to black.

I get applied a very fine paint kalam right at the edge. Looks a load better than those ugly white lines which make the car look old. Secondly it at least prevents further paint getting removed and stops those fading edges from going even wider and uglier. Got my painter to do it 6 months back and its still there. Carefull with waxing/polishing near edges now. Have started masking them which i should have been doing much earlier.
If applied carefully by a steady expert hand, that sharp fine line of paint is not even visible and noticable. But this is only valid if it just started and the edge line white-ness is thin. Not suitable for too massive extra wide faded edges.

100% agreed Sir . Cosmic is not a proper wax it acts like a Polish and cuts paint !

every wax has micro polishers. There's one by megs(can't remember the name) , anyways it's in purple packing that clearly mentions it has no polishers present.

Micro polishers isnt a word. Its micro abrasives. And only cleaner waxes or AIO's have abrasives.(in the wax category)

By definition a finishing wax is one which has no cleaners or abrasives and is designed to be applied to already perfect paint.

off course, sir! . Noted. cleaner waxes sey yaad aya, are they an alternate to let's say "mild claying"? can i use a cleaner wax if the surface feels rough, and a clay bar isn't available?

yea sort of.. they will essentially do the same job but it wont be near as thorough as a clay bar. But it will ensure a better bond to the surface.
Not to be used earlier than 4 months.

My friend has civic vti 1999 and after using the Turtle Wax Carnauba Cleaner Wax, some of the color got faded on some areas of bonnet and some areas on roof.

He said me he was used turtle super hard shell earlier and found no problem but after using Turtle Wax Carnauba Cleaner Wax, some area has faded paint-bigger white spots on bonnet.

The color of his car is cashmeri silver color (light golden).

Now experts tell me that it is true fact that using wax on older car like my friend's car remove the paint? If yes then we should abort using waxes on old car like my friend's car?

Also why white spots comes on after using waxes? Either these white spots(faded area) due to wax or age of color is now decreasing?

I don't have any pics of his car right now. But when I visit, I saw that there are some light white patches comes on bonnet. Why is it so?

BTW you don't answers my questions? Any way to remove those white patches?
