i have gotten some water marks on car, when it rained few days back i was checking water sheeting, some big beads stayed back, at that time i could clean up the water marks just by rubbing my finger so wasnt concerned but now even after wash n wax they r still there, just few
so can they b removed by clay? i clayed i think 1-2 weeks back, n i didnt store that clay, its outside in my room all dried up, so can i moist it up n use it to remove those marks?
rain water never caused such kind of marks, i guess i should have cleaned them with my hand when they were going so easily, got around 2 on roof, n 2 on sun roof screen

bumpn how to remove wd40 from side window, it has been washed many times but still whenever i look through it into side view mirror, its blurry

Petronas is a Malaysian lube brand. I didnt know if they made car care products as well..

That's right. I initially thought of giving it a try seeing the fancy packaging and the "Made in Italy" label. IMHO it's at par with Formula 1 stuff

Blackfire is a popular US brand, but unknown to average Pakistani consumer Joe. Meguairs is the only brand with some market penetration in Pakistan, or perhaps Turtle...

collinite isnt indian brand
i am using collinite, its pretty good wax n very long lasting n gives great water sheeting, apply a coat n on ur next wash there will b no water to dry from car, it repels down all the water
check the thread by @dynamicallystatic , its a pretty good wax n he has some in stock, u should get it

Yes I noticed too that in my car that there is very little water to wipe with mf towel after hosing of the shampoo

India has a richer detailing industry with several of the top brands available online at US/UK pricing.

Collinite is indeed the king of durability and offers a simple range that punches above its price range.

I meant it is common over there unlike here in Pakistan. Not that it is Indian made.

Bird dropping cleaning:

Today I encountered a nasty bird dropping on the hood when I reached home. Since hood was hot, I decided to wait and went for afternoon nap. On waking up I had to go somewhere, so it remained there despite knowing that you have to clean/remove it as soon as possible.

Finally when the hood was at ambient temperature, I sprayed a very diluted CG citrus wash and gloss shampoo solution and the droppings dislodged quickly and started to slide down from the hood. Carefully picked the residue with a very soft pure cotton rag without any pressure. After that I poured some water from bucket, sprayed waterless wash and wiped the hood with mf towel.

A liberal spray of the waterless wash would have done it too. At times placing a tissue paper folded in it that's wet with waterless wash will also losen it up.
Bird droppings tend to be acidic and etch into the paint, so the sooner you remove the better. Few hours or a day wouldn't harm but direct sunlight baking may.

What to do when the surface is hot, hood due to engine running and if the car is parked in sun?

Aoa Guys,
My daily runner was going strong until 2 days back (She is clocked at 135000 with all original paint) , this **** happened. A motorcycle wala was splitting lanes and came in front of me and braked hard. Allah ka Shukar hai that nobody was hurt during this accident, and as usual the motorcyclist flew away from the scene, couldn't manage to catch that fool due to rush (Earlier this year had an accident with a cycle wala who was coming from the opposite side without knowing that a car is coming and destroyed my car's side mirror and now this). So Drive Safe Guys, beware of such retards on the road.
I Still thought of giving it a simple Wash. Tomorrow she will be going to the hospital and will be back next week with a wash and wax.

What to do when the surface is hot, hood due to engine running and if the car is parked in sun?

Keep a finger mist sprayer in car. Tissue paper wet and remove. Just an extra precaution since you never know how acidic the dropping could be.

Pretty lucky that the paint is saved, the dent on the fender and bumper can easy be fixed and the black spot can be fixed by a minor kalam and car remains total genyan

I guess my reasons to pay a visit to A. Hayee are getting justifiably stronger.......To learn to drop birds with an air gun before they drop their drop on HORNET..... And still not learn the art of detailing.

I dont follow any indian detailing forum but I use Autogeek regularly and i know that collinite isn't available otc at walmart, target,etc even though collinite is manufactured in the USA so i think it is safe to assume it wont be available off the counter in India.
