You can't always carry a ds with you everywhere. In that case, your best bet is a mf brush. Even without a ds, you can use a mf brush to remove light dust and not damage the paint. The ds in this case is just a precaution and helps better when your removing the light coat of dust with a mf cloth.

If the layer of dust is thick, well in that case it's just better to get the car washed or use a rinseless wash.

how do we dust a car? i usually get it done by micro fiber cloth .

Option 1:
Forget about dusting or dry dusting. Use a Quick Detailer and work with it using a microfiber.

Option 2:
If you can wait, its better to just wash it every few days rather than dry dusting it.
The body paint will get less damaged due to dust sitting on it, compared to say dry dusting.

When you dry dust a car, the particles sitting on the paint work are getting rubbed on the paint, effectively introducing swirls marks and scratches.

Guys I am in a poopy situation.
My black '14 Corolla was parked at home but in direct sunlight. I couldn't manage time to wash it as was out of home always and in the meantime bird poop of a staggering size cooked on the hood. Now when the car is washed, the pattern is there and cannot be felt with touch after I used QD on it but in vain, the clayed it but that also did not do anything substantial. What do I do now?
I hate birds now though

The f*** is this? Have your tried your every best? It resemble like the water spots the liquid have dried and seems to have gone below the surface you may need compound it

Wash it Clay it with a proper lubricant. Apply some pressure but donot apply too much. You may also try apc but that will remove the layer of any wax or sealant yout car wearing. If nothing works, start to.think about using abrasive

I clayed it with MaxShine claybar and Dodo Juice clay lube already. Don't have APC at hand right now although I have Ultimate Polish, should I try that?

Ultimate polish have some very very light abrasive and clear coat safe if matched with a polisher can really cut minor swirls. But as you are short on things try it. You dont have any polisher dual or rotary and you will be workin only on elbow grease. Try to buff it fast. Otherwise lets the Gurus come.

looks like there some damage to the clear coat.

but to be on the safe side try doing a coat of natural wa maybe this will reduce the spot.
if not do a mild polishing session then wax it...it will go away after few regular maintainence schedules involving polishes.

if its really an eye sore for u then my dear bro get ready for alot of paint cutting on that specific area if u want to level it out.

i would recommend u mild polish by hand of complete bonnet and few more passes on the spot and then any natural carnuba wax coat. and share results

Nothing to serious the bird dropping has etched the clear coat just a bit of abrasive cream on a da or rotary followed by polishing step will fix that can even do it for you if you are willing to drive to DHA1 rawalpindi.

bird poo is pretty bad ***. Once a bird drop a bomb on my car and I was unable to clean it, the next day when I washed that particular area I saw a huge yellowish stain on my bonnet. Tried UP, but that didn't help, so used UC with a DA at speed 5. It took me quite some time to remove that ****. Now I keep the Detailer spray in the car, whenever I see a bird poo, I spray it on the effected area and wipe it of with a tissue. I think u should go for UC as this thing has gone deep. Use it with a foam applicator and do more passes and don't use too much pressure.

I've never used UC before. What precautions do I have to take?

its a new car so nothing much to worry about. Just wear some glasses using it, it hurts the eyes. Maybe anyone has felt or not. Other than that just do more passes rather than applying more pressure. InshAllah it will do the trick.
