in my opinion one should wax the car right after claying
as clay does eliminates containments/dust etc etc from paint and it becames as new as when it came from factory.
if it rained after you clayed,paint will again attract all the dust and acid particles from rain thus it will be same as before claying
giving it even a single coat of wax will protect it.

you are right but again our environment is too dusty even cars gets dusty in a hour of parking
well

ive clayed my 2009 civic black color and nothing came out no dust no nothing .but here's the thing ive regular wax my car and polish after 15 days and compound after 1.5 months maybe that was the reason ..

its a good thing that there was not much dirt and containments on your car's paint.

yes i do know that compound is bad but i use megs uc not the cheap stuff ..the only reason ive use it because of the swirls or some minor scratches due to dust .

you are right
but meg compound is also abbrasive and cuts the paint
you should compound it just one time from a professional detailer or your self with a rotary polisher
then take good care of the paint
there will be always some swirils/scratches on the paint no matter how much you compound it so leave them or a simpler way mask them.
nanoskin hi glaze is awesome wax for masking these swirils/marks

Mashallah great results Owais bhai I will inshallah be doing a similar project on my silver 2006 Liana soon and looking at how amazing your results are I wanted to ask a few questions:

What did you use to apply the compound, polish and wax? Please mention quantities as well
How was your experience with the Super Resin Polish? I've been planning to buy ultimate polish instead of that, do you have any experience with that?
Also didn't you clay your car?

For the ultimate compound, I used a rotary with a wool pad on it. For the Autoglym super resin polish, I used a foam pad on the rotary. And finally, to apply collinite #845, I used a foam pad and applied it by hand. The super resin polish has excellent masking abilities of light swirls and leaves a very nicely polished, smooth and clean surface for the wax to adhere to. I havent however had any experience with Ultimate polish though so cant really compare the two. And about claying, no I didnt clay the car. There was slight orange peel that I wanted to get rid of so I went over it with a 2000 grit sand paper lightly and then polished it.

Hello detailers!
I have been a silent visitor to the thread from quite a while now. Didn't have time to detail my car and got involved in an accident this Ramzan so my hopes for detailing the car on eid are like really low but my brother bought a WagonR s couple of days ago and its surface looks hungry and so is my Mf cloth i have plans to detail it tonight despite the rain.
My eid shopping included turtle zip wash, and the following stuff... Will also add a clay bar & dodo QD in the start and as finishing touch and will share the results and differences which will truly differentiate between a car's company paint and treating it with car care products...

P. S the car is in Silver color
