Are the products used in scratch removal harmful for cars paint after a few period of time ? Does they effect the paint, will the paint fade away ?

Did an Engine Bay Cleaning and Dressing today.

1. Simple Rinse
2. Sprayed Nanoskin Grease Free
3. Washed with pressure Washer
4. Nanoskin Speedy shine applied.

2inch dia and 1inch dia Detailing brushed. I dont know the material i think they say it horse hair Brush maybe

Never use a pressure wash for cleaning a engine bay. I know people do it but I've seen this all the time where people have caused engine failures due to pressure washing an engine (especially a gasoline one). A house hold hose pipe is what is recommended by every detailer when it come to detailing an engine.

On most modern cars, the paint is protected by the clear coat. The scratches and swirls you see on regular basis are surface imperfections on the clear coat, not the paint itself. Removing these with power tool does cut a very light layer of clear coat thus exposing the defect free CC. It takes years and years to cut through the CC and expose the paint using a power tool. Remember that a power tool is considerably more effective at cutting the CC than trying to fix the imperfections using a pad and hands. It will be a few decades before you actually start cutting through the paint is you keep compounding the CC using your hands and a pad on regular basis. Hope this clears the question up.

How many times Can you compound you car. Lets suppose a brand new car never compounded or polished. How many times will it take cut the clear coat completely to the paint

If you used compounds like megs 105

The last stage isn't the single stage paint but results in clear coat failure.

Took these before I left for the VCCCP rally. I'm beginning to love what the poorboys bh and bf combo can achieve.

Interesting Fact: I detailed my car more than a month ago and the protection was still present when I was prepping the car for the show. However, I wanted to reglaze the paintwork and cleaning the paint of all the protection was kind of holding me back.

I went through some forums and threads and asked some members on the detailing threads how I could go about this. I found out you can reglaze the car for that show car finish on top of any present protection. The glaze will do its thing making the paintwork nice and swirl free. You may add a layer of wax on top.
