Hi brothers
My Honda City 2018 (Lunar Silver, 20k ODO) remained parked for one and half month in open parking of office, now its paint feels rough when rubbing hand on it. Should I go for compound polish or is there any other solution? woefully, i could not wax my car during that period. sometimes parked under tree and sometimes under direct sunglight.

You simply need to clay your car to get back its smoothness.
Paont will be super slick to touch because all the dirt and debris and God knows what, that is stuck on paint will be removed.
Then u can simply wax your car.
If you have scratches and swirls only then opt for compound and polish depending upon the condition of Paint.

no scratches on paint. only light swirl marks.
I didnt use clay bar before. would you plz suggest any clay bar brand and online store from where i can buy. and also the easiest method.

Brother i feel you do not have experience of claying, simply go to any detailing shop for paint correction and sealant... your car will be secured for another couple of months / 1 year....

Will cost you 5 to 8k Rs.

The claying kit will also cost you around 5k so its wise to spend some extra rather than experimenting

Rubbing Compound to remove Swirl Marks

Hi Guys ! I hope you are doing great! I have Silver GLi 2015 (pre-face lift ) . My car is neat but there are lot of swirl marks specially on roof and bonnet those are prominent in Sunlight . Yesterday I went for car wash and the guy told me to get done Compound job ( with hand as he said with machine the result not good) . The procedure he told me that first they will just compound my car then wash it with shampoo then normal polishing/wax . My questions are : 1) should I get this job d…

This compounding is not at all recommended.
You can use aliexpress clay with good lubrication, it will not be much effective though.
Also try it first on some inconspicuous area, in case it damages the finish you will not be at worst position. Finish will be properly inspectable after 10-15 minutes of wiping down as wetness completely fades away

Just take care when washing and drying the vehicle. Use multiple mf towels. Make sure not to rub dirt over the painted area.

Wash it often.

The paint finish will remain glossy.

Wax the car and be careful when washing it. Use the two bucket method With grit guard and washmitt.

Cover front and back screens with those sunscreens. Commonly available are silver ones with stick on rubbers. Shades or curtains on all four windows. Never close the windows fully while leaving the car in sun. Just a little opening will allow the built up heat to escape and keep the inside temp in limits.

If you can spend like 30K rs, get 3M crystalline heat rejection tints on all windows, screens. Get the lightest shade, so cops will not bother you. It keeps the cabin temp bearable by rejecting almost half of the heat that comes from outside with sunlight.

A cheaper option is Solar Screen tints. Almost transparent.
