Wanted to ask that are rock chips on the bonnet common for just black cars or all colours? I'm not much into detailing and wax polish stuff so wanted to ask after how much time should we wax our car (black and white colour)? Is it important to wash before wax right?

Rock chips are very common on every car but can be easily seen on dark colours.

The time duration between wax depends on the quality and properties of wax

Yes you should properly wash a car before waxing

Annually you should clay a car and polish the paint

If your engine bay is just dusty, you can use car shampoo for cleaning.
If it's very dirty, you can use any engine degreaser or APC.

PPF versus Glass Coating versus Ceramic Coating

Expert please suggest what is best?

I have contacted Ahmad bhai from Luxe. He is indeed a knowledgeable person. I own a white sportage and he recommended to go with the ceramic coatings instead of PPF. I'm a bit skeptical about ceramic coatings since it won't protect the car from rock chips. And I would rather wash the car on weekly basis and wax it(with a good wax ofc) on bimonthly or monthly basis than maintaining a ceramic coated car.

What do you think of this? Wash n Wax regularly VS ceramic coating VS PPF?

it depends what are you lookin for Ppf and ceramic coatings offer pretty different values. Ppf is more towards Extreme physical Protection and impact protection coatings are more towards aesthetics and offer chemical resistance , Gloss and self cleaning ablities and very slight resistance to abrasion

Indeed Ahmad bhai is a gem and house of knowlede and must have given u suggestions on some basis.

In my opinion if you want to protrcect you car best possible way from minor physical and natural damages then go for ppf but the gloss of car will neither increase nor decrease.

If u want to just protect your car from environmental damage such as oxidation and want the gloss of your car to be increased then go for ceramic coating. But mainitaing it is a little difficult.

What I do to my car is just wax it.
And once in a year I clay, compound, polish and then wax.

Else I wax it every 3 months. And after 6 months polish it by hand.

And yes if you want any car products I can provide but after 12 may selling will be open as it's closed due to exams.

This seems reasonable to me. What products would you recommend me for all of this? Please try to be as descriptive as possible since I'm a total noob and I'll google everything you'll say for details.

On the same band here really noob in detailing and waxing not a lot of knowledge in that department i have got a silver altis need the recommended wax or products to keep my car shine.

For beginner, start with fewer products. Then see if you can keep up with this hobby because detailing is very labour intensive.

You need following products initially
- shampoo
- wash mitt
- microfiber drying towel
- clay bar
- polish
- any quality wax or sealant

Use clay only if your paint feel rough to touch, like sandpaper.
Use polish once every 6 months or once a year.
Reapply wax or sealant once you see the water behavior or the wax/sealant is flat. It's no more giving water beads.
