The LSPs seem a bit overdone. There is very minimal that bonds to surface. And then the idea of layering (after cure of first layer) goes in uptil 2-3 layers for compatible (layer able products). If everything continued to add up we would see a jiggly layer on top [emoji4] (with glass coats it's different as cured layers build up more but to a certain extent).

So I would
Uc up #7 845 and #26 (or a more superior looking wax). Maintain with QD.
If not using #7 then you can use sealant.

7 won't take sealants and also won't let the waxes last longer.

Pure polishes and oil based products dont let the waxes last. PB White Diamond/ Black Hole though i think should be okay.

One can't say for sure what has lasted on surface and what wore off (specially in case of layers).. Also, I am yet to experience the behaviour where I put a long term sealant as base, cure it for desired time + layered it with a short term wax that was supposed to last a month and then a month later I'd be back to my sealant layer I also discussed this in detail with some experienced detailers and even a wax maker and they didn't have the tests to backup any of the "returning back to layer1" claims and said they'll test. It may happen in some cases but I am yet to experience this..

PBH has good fillers (acrylic) that last a while.. Many people report LSP durability over PBH.

Superior waxes.. Well, its a long list Sure, Souveran is one of them (in the show waxes range with focus on looks and very little durability) and dont worry about finishing the jar.. It spreads very very very far and after doing a car and thin application, you would have hardly used any..

But if you're looking for things to do on others cars then several value for money options exist that are economical yet durable and great looking e.g. Collinite 915, Finish kare 1000p, Poorboys Natty Red/Blue etc

Chemical guys is also an oil based one, very good sealant, gives gloss n depth like a premium wax... but on the flip is a bit pricey and in my experience swirls come back quite quickly, even with careful washing.. idk why!

Typically the water repellency and lacking looks are monitored to ensure the protection is intact or weak. At other times the protection may be fine but contaminated enough for the shampoo to not wash it away, making water hold. In other instances wash and wax type product or protection based QDs overtake the characteristics of the LSP. So a lot of factors.

PBBH would go in the base after cleansing. May be a couple of rounds to fill more. Then souveran on top. It is oily will attract dust slightly more. You could use the pinnacle spray wax you got from me as a top up for wash to maintain.

And 8oz jar of souveran should give in between 30-40 applications.

do you know any other big name in twin cities? pics on carbographics page are impressive, want to clean interior n engine from there.

Not really but there's a guy on pakwheels by the name of dynamic static i think, he lives in bahria and he's into detailing, try contacting him, about carbographics, well because of their overuse of rotary tools, my paint started to wear off and cracks were visible, i only noticed it once i got home... Will post the pics.

I took the door cards off my Mercedes to do some soundproofing. I came face to face with 30+ years of dirt caked onto the outerskin of the door. Well, another excuse to clean things off Sprayed some concentrated astonish degreaser and let it soak for a couple of minutes. Took out my brushes and this sh*t wasn't coming off even with all the degreaser.

Time to take out the small son of them gun's. Detailing Plastic Blades!!!!!!!

Dont have any before shots cuz I wanted to get this done with. You can see the caked on dirt on the outer skin of the door. I had already sprayed degreaser on it and used a brush but there was little effect. This is a 50/50 shot showing the results after I used the plastic blade. The spots where I coudnt use the blade (the base) I emptied the degreaser bottle, sprayed some petrol and wd-40. The three combined + a hard brittle brush were enough to get all of that gunk out. Unlike the caked on dirt on the vertical panels, the gunk at the base and horizontal section was loose due to water entering the door and being channeled out of the slots. Thankfully the doors are now clean as they should be and ready for the sound deadening sheets to be applied.

And here is the champion. I used one blade to do all four doors and it still is sharp. Way to go.
