When we say a wax offers 6 months of paint protection, what does that entail? Additionally, i want to know what specific protection does a certain type of wax provide for your paint?

It will provide protection against environmental damages i.e uv rays, chemical damage etc.

And 6 months means it will protect the car from these damages for 6 months. But a wax saying 6 months won't be giving straight 6 months. To check either your wax is still protecting you have to check the hydrophobic properties. It should bead water well
