WOW! MashAllah a great effort n a superb outcome! Hats off to u Usman Bhai! U have certainly inspired me to go for a swirl treatment on my busted old Alto because i still like it shiny! Hence a detailing session on my part is in order this weekend as soon as i receive the chocolate :D, InshAllah!
Now the technicalities! How good is the Turtle Wax Scratch n Swirl Remover? Worth the effort? How did u apply it? By hand or by the Cutting Pad? Did u apply it before or after the Pre-Wax Cleaner? Is there any 2 or 3-Step system available in the Turtle Wax line up for cars with colours other than black? If not, what else can be used as a Pre-Wax cleaner?
Help n suggestions will be deeply appreciated!

As im new to detailing need ur coments:

   [I]in particular washing mitts, but using a MF cloth is completely fine for washing, waxing and buffing off, i do the same.

2. Using mothr carnubara step3 pølish as i heard its good 4 a new car in white color OR shd use sealer or wht else?

   [I]there is a difference between polish and wax, wax adds a layer of protection, polish corrects the paint, and takes a layer off clear coat, dont polish your new car, just wax it, mother step3 california gold is a good product, but even better is meguiar's NXT or Gold Class, i would recommend NXT since its a white car, and gold class is usually for dark coloured cars, it gives a great deep feeling to a dark car, NXT would give you double the protection than gold class. so go for it.[/I]

3. Ned sugestn 4 aplicator 4 polish? Whch brand r avalbl?4rm whr 2 get? Price? Sugestns?

   [I]With NXT gen you would get a foam applicator, use that, no need to buy a seperate one.[/I]

4. Best way to give a proper shine to body ? Shd use m.fibre cloth or polishn machne?as i got machne too.[/I]

   [I]Well there are two types of automated polishing/waxing machines, orbital which is completely safe to use even for a new user, and rotary buffer, which is mainly used in paint correction since it had variable rotational speed, which is required in cutting the paint and correcting the flaws in it.[/I]

   [I]if you find it hectic to apply and take wax of by hand, buy an orbital, apply the wax using that and take it off using a micro.

5. Proper way 2 clean the tyre? Shd use surf & thn any tyre polish etc?? I ned a clean mat finish tht did nt catch dust?[/I]

   [I]This would do, wash the tyre and then use a tyre dresser on it.

   [I]Stick to that, its a good product, if your rims are of steel you can also use brasso to clean them

7. Interior. Usng stp sunofgum 4 interior. As som1 told me its betr thn all. How to properly cleam interior? Dnt knw any thng abt difrnt products? Need detals abt cleaning thru dif products.[/I]

   [I]Use a lint free cloth when cleaning the interior, or a MF, sonofgun is a good product, it doesnt leave a shiny surface, which is a good thing.

8. Engine bay, wht is pre soak cleanr?? Dnt knw how to clean the bay? Product & procedure????

   [I]Presoak is a liquid which is diluted with water, and then sprayed onto the engine/engine bay to get rid of grime and durt, even minor rusting, you dilute it with water, put it into a spray gun, spray it onto the engine bay, use a brush or a cloth to clean the area, and then just wash it, apply a sonofgun on the plastic parts, and voilaaa![/I]
   
   Any othr coments & sugestns r welcome.
   Pls tel me prices of ur sugestd prodcts.

Today immediately after having sehri i went downstairs to give me a car a good cleaning. Had bought Turtle wax color magic plus for my red city so started to apply it after giving my car a wash with Armour all car shampoo. The results after applying colour magic were simply awesome. The car was swirl-less and shiny could see each and everything in its reflection however after working consecutively on my car for four hours was really tired and thirsty .. Now have to go through a five hour drive to Islamabad ... Enjoy the pictures.

and what is the alternative of turtle black box for other colored cars? And what is the abrasion level of turtle wax swirl and scratch remover as compared to swirlx and ultimate compound?

Rs.2,600 for the Turtle Wax Black Box, and Rs.450 for the Turtle Wax Swirl an Scratch Remover, Colour Coded Waxes are the alternative for other colours......like Turtle wax Colour Magic……..Abbrasiveness is a very hard topic to delal with I mean I can put pressure on a mild abrasive and get high abrasive results……depend on the user…..though from in order of ranking from high to low abrasive I`ll go for Meguairs Swirl X (high) Meguairs Ultimate Compound (high-mid) and Turtle Wax Scratch an swirl (Mild)

W-salamz! Sir an Honour to have you in our thread, met you at our Anniv GTG in Mc.Donalds……an have seen Spitfire (car in concern I think) at the Liberty Market parking gtg .will be very tough answering for a experienced person of your stature but let me try……

Your car's soft top is subjected to the same environmental conditions as the rest of your car. However, although it is easy to see when your car's body is dusty and dirty, it is not always easy to see when your top is dirty, especially if it's black or navy blue.One of the biggest wear factors for canvas tops is dust in the canvas. Dust settles into the weave of the fabric and begins to act like sandpaper. Vinyl tops will also experience premature wear from dirt, but not as readily. In general, you should care for your top each time you wash your car. This does not mean you need to scrub it each time, but a good stiff rinsing is necessary..

Common cleaning products can be very harmful to your soft top. Chemicals you should not use on or near your top include ammonia, bleach, detergent, alcohol and vinegar. Please, know the chemicals you use before you apply any.
IF your top is not dirty, rinse it thoroughly with plenty of cool water. Make sure the shampoo you use does not contain gloss-enhancing oils. If the shampoo contains oil, the top will absorb the oil and become a dust magnet.
The recommended tool for washing is a soft scrub brush. Do not use a cloth, chenille-covered sponge or lamb's wool mitt, as they will leave lint. If your top has soil marks, stains or bird droppings, use a small, stiff upholstery scrub brush. If you can rub the brush across the back of your hand without scratching your skin, it's safe to use on your soft top. The best method is to use the towel or chamois to blot up the water. Don't wipe. Do not use a terry cloth towel to dry your canvas top, as it will leave lint. On vinyl tops, a synthetic chamois or microfiber towel will also work well, as will cotton towels. On vinyl windows, microfiber towels seem to work best.
As for Products Ive seen the Turtle Wax ICE shampoo do wonders on some soft tops Ive detailed…try that! JazakAllah

Turtle Wax scratch an swirl remover was good with the rotary, but you always get different results with hand application……..Yes the results are in front of you definitely worth the effort, Directly onto the surface with a foam pad an then massaged it with Mequairs cutting pad on the rotary….before the prewax cleaner……I don’t think so there is a step 2 or 3, you can use the cleaner wax you have as step two an your choclate as step 3………….JazakAllah for appreciating the work done….my Portar Cable has left my side…..stopped working 5 months ago, after 6 years of hardwork it just quit, now my sencan is doing the job, tayyab`s sencan is also with me, they work just fine, no problem so far…

An Aamir bhai I was thinking the same, yeh itni tiyari?? Sirf Isloo janay kay laiy?? Koi na koi chakkar hai……….Anyway I usually in a jiffy wax the hood an front bumper for long routes because they are the very first to get hit with bugs other debri….waxing helps remove them fairly easier than a dewaxed surface bug removal..……even today my car is horror………I haven’t washed it since the gtg an its 2 rainy sessions since then……but I know theres a synthetic wax protecting it….just needs some good ol water to run over it an it`ll all be good………
