Old School Meguiar's Gold Class vs New Improved Gold Class.
Ive been using Megs GC for the last three odd years, in these years ive also used a lot of different famous brands such as mothers, surluster, turtle e.t.c but to be honest the dazzle which GC brings has no match, especially on a black car.
That said, in 2010 Meguiar's introduced the New Gold Class, and have discontinued the original GC.
The first difference which i could see clearly in the Old School and the New GC was of the golden colour used on the tin. 2008's gold was more bright and light, whilst the 2011 GC has a deeper golden rim colour.
The printing is also a little different.
And to my surprise the New GC has a new improved formula which is different than the original GC, this wax has a little pint of polishing attributes as well, although very minute, even less than NXT, but still it does have the ability to hide and clean very minor swirls, as claimed by the detailers at Megs.
I cant wait to test this side by side with my old school GC, from the reviews ive read on this new improved gc, it is clear that the new formula is much better than the original, the scent remains the same, the colour of the wax remians the same, but the chemical attributes have been manipulated to give you something which is even better than the Old GC.
" Gold Class Carnauba Plus Wax has some very minor cleaning ability, but not enough to call it a cleaner wax. It does an excellent job of eliminating very fine marring. Aroma and shine are going to be subjective, of course, but it does not have the sort of aroma associated with NXT Tech Wax 2.0 - it's more like the original Gold Class in that regard; same with the shine. "
" Gold Class has been our premium carnauba blend wax and it still is, but now it's just premium-er. "
