They HAVENT mentioned anywhere on GC that you have to buff it off after 30 minutes, have they?
The environment comes into play here, my car is parked inside a garage after waxing, and it takes a healthy 8-10 hours for the wax to completely dry, so i rely more on the looking at skills, although a swipe test might be useful in a quick session, but i like my wax to sit on the car until it is completey hazy.
I was noticing your GC, it is the older version, you got it from optimum, they have all old stocks which they imported, was taken off the shelf to give way to the new maybe, the GC which you're currently using, i used it back in 2009, a newer GC was introduced in 2010 i think, currently im using that, and it takes quite some time to haze, maybe it is more oil rich, or maybe because of the changed chemical properties.
Might be that yours is an old wax, so dries quickly, anyway, everyone has a way to deal with their car, i detail my car when i have plenty of time, so i give it the most time i could, you may be the one who does it in a hurry.
