Just waxed my car with color magic and i tell you what, it is fu**ing pain in the a$$. I let it dry for 2 hours after applying, and it got really hard......i'm all drained rubbing the microfiber again and again on that

what do you mean by "colors" elaborate that.

Compounding will only remove light or slight scratches, not the one which goes till the primer underneath the paint or further to metal.

Bhai G if you left it for two ours for drying the stuff then you must have to use a detailer to get it damp. otherwise you needed not to leave it for two ours. you should have done it after 5 minutes if you din't had the detailer.

Although it might be true for some waxes, but not for meguiars carnauba.

I always let my car to cure overnight, and in the morning it is still as easy to buff off, as it would've been when fresh.

Depends on the wax used and also the application, a very thin layer would never be hard to buff off.

Gold Class Carnauba's wipeoff time in max 30 mins under any conditions. Carnauba waxes can be wiped off anywhere after 5-30 mins of application.

Synthetic Waxes should be left applied for an hour or max two, to allow them to bond properly. Then they should be wiped off too. Any longer time won't help. Secondly the best method to judge is to to the finger swipe test. Today I applied NXT 2.0 on my ride and finger swipe test confirmed that it was ready for removal almost 30 mins after application.

Secondly cure time does not means that you leave the wax on. It means that you wipe off the wax, and THEN leave the car i.e. do not apply any more wax on it or expose it to moisture. You can drive around and even bit of exposure in the sun would help. Cure time is to ensure that wax/sealant has properly bonded.

The environment comes into play here, my car is parked inside a garage after waxing, and it takes a healthy 8-10 hours for the wax to completely dry, so i rely more on the looking at skills, although a swipe test might be useful in a quick session, but i like my wax to sit on the car until it is completey hazy.

No they havn't but one can always consult countless threads on Meguiarsonline BUT to each his own. Although research on Meguiarsonline shows that it is not required. It one was using a sealant then maybe yes, leave it overnight but for a carnauba wax? No way. The finger swipe seems to be the accepted method used to test whether a wax has dried or not. Nothing to with hurrying or taking time.

The GC I have is the GC+ version. AFAIK this is the latest version. No?

@khurum bhai yar yeh jo piddi kali hai kammml hi hui hai, the blue ride is so so but the black one just took me heart, I did notice the pairs but stayed quiet, then somthin else like 17of 18 are missin...:P......tell me have the cars been sold by now?.....What were peoples comments relation to black an blue one?? Ours and theirs weather is pretty different, that is why i mentioned the environment comes into play. Anyway yes each his own.

No, this is the older version, this was changed with a new improved formula, which also has a very minute polishing ability, lesser than NXT, in the late 2010 i think, it is mentioned on the top of the pack. Your NXT is also the outdated version. Below is the newer GC.

My old GC dries pretty quickly though, but i dont use it anymore, and the newer one has a lot of oils in it as compared with the older one.
