Gents,
I own Black Honda Civic EXI 2006, as the time passes the colour of the car is becoming dull & having lot of scratches, please advice any polish which can be used to bring the shine of the car back. i am currently using SOFT 99 polish for my car & Formul shampoo.

Welcome mate........Ive got a question for you.......are you using the SOFT 99 polish or wax ?? I know youve mentioned polish but just to assure myself.....how deep are the scratches?? Answer this an Ill advise on them, though if you can post pics itll be best........If you just want to bring back the shine use a good glaze.....an formula shampooo say kuch baat bani nahin meri jan.....change it.....go for a better one....if price is the issue use the speed one or armour all shampoo else turtle wax, mothers, meguairs are all excellent.....

May be you have already answered this question but I may have missed it,Kindly recomend a shampoo,Polish and other stuff to make white colour shine.Car is Cultus 2005.

The shine on that Civic is amazing.And please upload that Mercedes Project.
Moreover,please explain the issues involved which causes holograms/buffer trails while using the rotary.

@Usman Bhai, As we work up the Swirl X, it tends to dry up while buffing. So wouldn't it b difficult to remove with the Meg's High Tech pad? Because in essence it's a foam pad n wouldn't stand the beating incurred while buffing off the residual SwirlX.
What's ur take on using the woolen bonnet that comes with the biloxxi? Can it b used for efficient buffing by hand for Swirl X?

best is to get the underside repainted before the problem gets too bad, in the period before the paint work is done you may use a rust inhibitor to slow down the rusting. get the paint work as soon as possible, rust can be a menace, i know fellow member rider4414 who got his car repainted twice yet rust never stopped.

Ok guys, i was in contact with fahadlovespk for a couple of days, and today he messaged me a peculiar thing which happened to him.

I had advised him to get Meguiar's Deep Crystal Pure Polish, and he ordered it from Optimum, instead they sent him Deep Crystal Wax, when he called them to tell them that there is a difference between the two, the said there is no difference between a polish and a wax.

So on his request im giving a brief insight as to what is the difference between the two.

A polish would add shine and luster to your car's paint, it would clean the paint and also take care of minor swirls and scratches for you , depending on how abrassive it is. Pure polishes like Deep Crystal have lots of polishing oils in them, which really deepen and add extra ordinary shine to your paint, without degrading the clearcoat.

A wax is an AFTER polish step, LSP ( last step product ), it would lock in the affect which the polish has created on your car, and would provide a barrier against dust and water, and would at instances add depth also to the paint. Polymer based waxes give more protection against the environmental conditions whilst carnauba waxes are a notch below. BUT carnauba waxes are notorious for the depth and gloss they provide, and the wet affect.

^ It wouldn't do much good to u! I read wht u wrote in the Mirchi Thread. Safdar, u never cease to amaze others! Since when Pre-Soak became a rust remover? Bravo, my friend! Hats off to u for bringing such a great discovery to the table! Turtle Wax ppl r stupid to offer Rust Inhibitor in their line-up. U should sue them!
Despite my repeated concerns, u r still misguiding poor souls about using petrol and WD-40 as degreasers!
I'll let Usman Bhai explain it to u in a rather simple manner.

i just read ur mail, well get some petrol or some engine bay degreaser (i dont have any idea where u can buy in isloo). cover the sensitive portions like coils etc with plastic bags. get some petrol pressure sprayed onto the engine bay, this will remove some of the junk and loosen the rest.repeat this one as many times as you think necessary. for the more stubborn stains you may use wd 40. after you have sprayed with petrol get urself a bucket of water, some surf and any cloth, fold it in squares and just wipe the areas , cleaning an engine bay isnt possible without scrubbing. id say if you arent in the mood of doing the scrubbing then get it done by one of the guys at the service station (under supervision). you just need to do the upper portion of the engine as without a proper degreaser this process can be tedious, and no one sees the lower portion anyways,

if you can arrange turtle presoak (best engine degreaser and rust remover) this work will be very easy.
after engine bay has dried get a bottle of formula spray or some lustre and rub it over the plastic parts like hoses , this will blacken them and moisturize the plastic. there are some engine degreasers that come in pressurized cans, those can also help you if a pressure hose is not available

Tayyab bhai jan I used the Meg cuttin pad with farecla an the wool pad as well.......JazakAllah for the civic appreciation.......Merc post is being made slooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwlyyyyyyyyyyyyy an will be posted in due time.....my bro buffer trails and holograms are caused if you let the rotary sit on any spot for a longer span of time, push downwards on the rotary while cutting,apply uneven pressure with the rotary, dirty surfaces be it the cars or the pads surface, touching the cars surface with the rotary at a wrong angle......these are some of the more common causes.

Want to ask somthing though, its a 2008 model an why is it gettin rusted out so soon? Was the piece painted ? You park it in a basement parking? My man it has to be treated properly, get the area sanded out , all rust removed, get some new sheet metal welded if the old one has given out completely....an then get it painted......after the rust has been properly treated you need to ensure protection to the area, try some undercarrige coating....plenty have been done here on pakwheels.

Bro what you suggested is excellent.....yes it should do the work effectively.....the way I use it is to put a small coin sized amount for a whole panel, use the high tech pad to first apply evenly on the surface an then lightly buff it to a near clear finish, afterwards I pick the residue up with a detailer spray an a mf.....trick is to use a small quantity that wont cause tooo much resistance to yer pad yet will deliver an effective cut....an youd be surprised at what these foam pads can endure......I polish tyres with a turtle foam an even after 4 years of usage its good....
