About the waxing in high RH conditions, as far as i know (i may be wrong), high atmospheric moisture just wastes ur bonding, meaning by that if as u say the wax was as easy as anything to take off that means the right bonding never took place with the car surface. Thats also what ive read on few international forums too that in high humidity, prefer not to wax ur car coz its just a waste. The initial shine n all will be there but dont think ur getting the right amount of longevity from ur wax. Plz comment if u know better.
P.S: Is that the reason certain pros limit the RH factor at about 80% max, that if u go thru the local weather report n Relative Humidity factor is above this then dont wax.
