@ahmed....sirjee bismillah karein bismillah... aur yeh jitnay logon ko aap nay address kya hai na alag alag...yeh sub drug mafia kay log hain...kyon kay car detailing sub say khatarnaak addiction hai...kisee waqt din yah raat kay chain nahi milta bus dil chahta hai kay detailing kay suroor mein bus doobay raho...apnee Body par jitna bhee bura asur par raha ho...**** kitna hee tooth raha ho...bus dil chahta hai kay lagey raho... Even in the gym jub muscle mein cramp ata hai to bunda ruk jata hai...but not in detailing...adhee garee ko abhee buff karna baqee hai...cramp agaya...wtf...hell with cramp...have to complete the car...

No cure from this addiction sirjee...only solution is to sell the car and use Metro.

You know when I now tell people about me two hobbies...I get strange looks as they both lie at the extreme ends...Cooking and Car detailing...kitchen and cars apparently do not mix (unless you are melting wax in the kitchen)...and I love it...

Would love to see some of your before and after pics...do not hide mistakes the idea is not to impress the pros (there is no short cut to experience irrespective of our age...) but to seek their guidance...plus we need to get more people aware about this...you know build where we get the culture of detailing within the domestic car owners.

Last of all, Ahmed, I know you are committed, cause you read the whole thread before venturing in it with a post...tells a lot about you...and trust me some of the pros here infact all of 'em (the drug mafia ) are all pretty down to earth people who have come together because of their passion for cars (clean ones).

Brother, define the budget.......like 100-500 or 1000-3000 or 5000+, what might seem reasonable to me might be outrageous for you or the other way around.......on the shine the most preferred ways to attain shine in a car are polishing or glazing it, generally polishing is the abrasive route whereas glazing is the layering route.......now its your choice, Ill lay down a few options take yer pick..... for polish, auto glym super resin,med deep crystal or 3m ultra fina, all excellent polishes......if you wish to go the glazing way then turtle wax ultra gloss, turtles blaze n glaze, mothers hand glaze, mothers sealer an glaze and megs mirror glaze are the one you should use.....rest if you define the budget thingy Ill guide you more precisely.....

@ravin...thanks...was not planning on putting the pics but since you asked for it here are some pics taken from a crappy bb cam (got busy detailin' forgot to charge the point and shoot's batt)

1st pic Taken on Sunday after the final wipe...just the hood...the hood was the most difficult part I found to detail in the beginning..well now...not so

The remaining pics have been taken now (wed)...Sunday was full detail, Monday was top coat with a wax enhancer, Tuesday was damp wipe (with the ostrich dropping on the hood) and today was mid week wipe with the detailer...which was finished at 9am...so the pics are with 3 hours of dust on it....next detailer wipe either fri or sat...let's see...(still in the process of making a fixed routine)

I found the following glaze today in the market.
1. Crystal Polymer Glaze by Turtle Rs 900 for half litre
2. Blazin Glaze Clear Coat Protectant by Turtle Rs 900 for half litre
3. Mothers Sealer and Glaze Rs 950 for small bottle
4. Mothers Hand Glaze Rs 1,800 for big bottle

What is the most recommended for good shine and long lasting?
I am using the following sequence.

1. Wash using mothers gold shampoo
2. Mothers Clay bar
3. Mothers cleaner Wax
4. Glaze (this step is currently missing)
5. Mother Carnauba wax (step 3)

Weekly wash with mothers shampoo and single coat of carnauba wax.

its real addiction like a favourite tv serial dil kerta hai dekhta he jaoon:P even in office all the time i keep open this thread and when ever i manage coupe of free minuts i start reading and note down points. dont laugh on me pls but its truth even for my job reasons when i was out of pakistan still used to read this thread :D.

i notice many of friends ask same questions which answerd many times in previous pages but you are so kind still responce them fully with soo open heart, this thing really attracted me towords this thread so to avoid such thing i started my homework and 2moro going to my prep class detailng results ( phd wali baat se sherminda na kareen pls ) abhi tu main ne app sab bahyion se buhat kuch sikhna hai Inshallha.
you are really a good teacher allways encourage students on their mistakes and give them motivation for re-try things...

Im highly obliged by such words coming from a person who is much eldar than i am, yet still is praising me and my fellow detailers, it has always been an honour to help people, and share the knowledge with them, before this thread we did not have any such threads of such stature on Pw, but once this thread was started it went places, and it is good to hear from people like you, who havent even seen us or met us in person, yet still praising us in such a manner, it really puts a big smile on our face.

Im humbly thankful to you and all the rest who appreciate my work. This is more like a passion, my family thinks im crazy, but i think im not the only one out there. And if doing all of this makes me get ermed as crazy, then im always up for it.

bhai gee knowledge dosent matter age, you are more knowledgeable in this field than me so i dont shy to admit it and praise it.

Sir if I was in Karachi, youd be the one worried.......cuz once you post in the thread, yer in my memory, n Im recalling what previous steps you had performed...what was in yer arsenal....what sort of probs youve had.....how yer car was lookin last time an what its looking like now....what sort of results yer gettin from what sort of prods.....helps me sorta create a image of what yer capable of an what not.......heck you might remember a couple of posts back Bad_cheetah was afraid an didnt pick my phone up cuz he knew I was watching his dirty ride an was about stop an give him a lecture....not the first time Id have done it....so beware....an just hope I dont catch you snoozing!!!

i use first one today and results are great.

The first is a hardcore glaze, an the second is a clear coat protectant alongwith glazing capabilities, the first Ive found to be mighty useful for metallic and relatively less pampered paints, love its ability to mask swirls an bring out the shine.......the second Ive used for relatively newer cars, that need protection to the clear coat, nicely masks minor flaws an adds a good sparkle, mostly applied to solid colours........thats just me....Im still testing them out....only once Ive called the ball will I get into the dirty details on them!! Filhaal aap bhi chaskay lain!

Its addictive Ill tell ya.......today I did some ordering of stuff from Halfords......aag itnti laggi hui thi keh 2 months ki salary ka saman lay liya hai....an the way I shop might be bit amusing.....a very dear jigs of mines lives in U.K. an I got him to go to the shop, turn skype on in his phone, sat on my laptop from this end, and made him give me a guided tour of the goodies...an then picked them one by one according to my desires.....waiting for it to come in now.....an sir two texts isnt even a starter.....you gota do better to qualify for KAAFI TANG status!!!JazakAllah for the kind words!!!

Rang barangi, sub tuh changi!!! Aamir bhai orange crush will work, but you see orange crush warm colours ko ziyada suit karta hai, meaning yer goldens, yellows, oranges, red....etc.....aur uper say bhai ko shine mangta hai, ornage crush is a pure wax, will give mild shine but more oriented towards protection, whereas lime prime lite contains micro-abrasives that give the paint a mild polish upon application along with its cleaning property thatll take the mittiz an the kattaz outa da paintz.........leaving our brother happy as a bee

I think you are about to disturb your budget....:P.....begum say chuppay huay funds say lena bhai jan.....nahin to meri tarah ki bewaqoofi ki, to aik acha sa mehenga sa suit dilana paray ga sath mai.....:(......to justify the purchase of a dodo..............pata nahin kaunsay kaunsay zulum menay sahay hain in the name of detailing!!! As far as your though goes.....I think Lime Prime Lite once whenever you come back from your offshore escadapes is more than good enough....I wouldnt go the weekly route on it if I was you......but the ornage crush...allllaaaaaaaaaaaa! Once you start playing with this stuff....theres no going back, because nothin else will satisfy you.....v1 di garantee!

mine is 5 years old car so my choice of first one is ok, though mine is white solid col but still needs hardcore one.tks for clarification
