Alright so after 30-40min cleaning here are the results:

Products Used and Method:
- Washed the engine with Tap water
- Sprayed Turtle Wax PreSoak in 1/5 mixture with water and waited for 10minutes
- Used ToothBrush and Shoe Polish Brush to wash the Ziddi-dust
- Again washed the engine with Tap Water and that's it

A big thanks to vague_one and Nomi929 for giving tips. I am sure a lot more work required to make more n more shine, but as a starter i think its ok, Will be doing Toyota Platz 2006 Registered in 3-4 days, so i will try to work hard on that. Basically i was short of Brushes, will try to get more brushed for engine cleaning job.

PS: Please do Critisie/Motivate me so that i can continue this work

Who had to shine up the rubber pipes ? Who was to wax the painted sidewalls? Who was to polish the steel parts.................cleaning is half the part...........so when the Platz comes....give it atleast a 2 hour detail.....clean it, polish it.....be careful with the small nooks an crannies...thats where you loose the goody points! Lets see you in round 2....for a first time.........though I got my eye on you for the second time!

- Banda polish maar kar roti khanay chala gaya hai aur peechay polish ka satiyaa naas ho raha hai
- Looks like very thick polish/wax coat and its not the same all over..
- The cloth on the mirror is not clean, redish redish and looks dirt it in..

just another little piece of advice...the better products help you learn better and understand your car better...my understanding went up by miles the day I simply started using a decent shampoo and detailer oh and that APC helped as well.

I remember my guitar learning days...before my first class, my dad bought me a local cheap accoustic saying that start with this, when you'll get better, we'll get a better one...why invest in a 'branded' one when you don't know the ABC of guitars...my instructor insulted me and told me not to show up with that oversized "tissue paper box" if I wanted to really learn how to play...his argument was...agur sahi tone hee nahi suno g a y to samjho g a y kaisay kay kya baja rahey ho...the next day I went and got a Washburn...

In short using mediocre products will give you mediocre results, a bad back and zero learnings...

Jazak ALLAH for the blessings let me tell you about me, i have this issue of obsession with things i have interest in. first it was computers, i got into the depth of it and was assembling my own when people even didn't how to install windows ... then it was music, guitars, synthesizers, then fitness and weight training. Last year after getting my own personal car i started taking interest in cars and related stuff, etc. The common thing in all of my endeavors was that i try to learn and get into the depth of things, although i don't want to be king of everything, but i want to at least know that thing as much as it deserves, and more importantly, i respect the maestros of that field, or for that matter, any hard worker !

P.S. None of the interests have died out, i still am a student of all the above mentioned fields and i love them !

Now i don't watch TV that much but i am watching Masterchef regularly nowadays so from a chef's perspective, if he has created something special or has learned some innovative technique, he wont tell anyone and would want to amaze people with his wizardry. But the best thing i see in PW is that people like usman bhai are letting the people learn their discoveries and benefit from them, he is not getting paid for any suggestions and advises. So the least we freebies can do is to thank and appreciate people like these who instead of cashing their valuable talent, are sharing and teaching everyone without any invested interest. I for one think that at least we can appreciate and thank them, and that is why i never hesitate in writing everything that comes to my mind when i see someone put hard work and sincerity into his work. to be honest, i was a silent member of PW for some time, the only thing that made me get registered and post was aamir bhai's red lady, the detailing crew's wonders done on it, the sweet attitude of amir bhai, thanking everyone for applause and the immense brotherhood between the members.

As for you sir, O bhai (from O i mean short form of MisterO, not that Oh :D) you have climbed up the ladder real fast, usman bhai and amir bhai we all know are now next level detailers, but you, you came from behind us, u talked in the same language as we did and now you are way ahead Masha ALLAH ! this is something that definitely need applause and support, after all, we enjoy those detailed posts of yours, it would be unfair to not cheer for something that is being written with such joy, hard work and dedication !

Apart from that, its good to hear that u are also into guitars, my first guitar was a pathetic acoustic and i left it (actually someone stole it) and instead i started playing on an electric, much better, although i have never took classes. Btw your instructor was right for sure, the ear skill is destroyed if we learn on a pathetic instrument...

dear bro, just check last 4 to 5 responces on same page you will get it
its turtle presoak 1part and rest 5 parts water.
first wash engine bay with water (avoid hitting sensors and electrics , you can cover them by plastic bags etc) than spray above solution , wait 5 to 10 minuts than use brushes to agitate the dirt, than again open tap water and see the miracle

@ Ravin...very brilliantly and honestly written post...deserves more than a like...i like your thinking style...and I guess we are on the same wave length...it is always good to meet matching minds. I must say I am impressed by your outlook towards things...very mature for your age...this outlook some of us gain after quite a few tumbles and a ton of experience....don't let life destroy it...preserve it and I can see you as going very far.

Well although I am 15 years older to you but I see that we have quite a bit in common...guitars, the obsession thingy and COOKING!!! I am assuming if you are watching Masterchef, you must be doing something or the other in kitchen as well...It is really funny...on Sundays...5 hours in the morning are spent on the car and then straight into the kitchen for me as my kids expect something exotic on Sundays from me...Cars and Kitchen...who says oil and water do not mix!!!

btw...you can call me oh as well (my initials actually) and the Mistero was not chosen for Mister O (kinda cheesy) but for it's heavy french pronunciation 'Mis tey gho'...kinda sounds $exy...but then everything in french sounds $exy...but oh would serve as well.

@ V1...I am sorta late for the pic guess...but my first observations (which you have mentioned in your later post)....were.....over over dose of wax, too much curing period...random rotation (left side is another direction and right side corner is a different rotation), uneven application (left side near windscreen is relatively lighter, and bottom centre of the hood is...what should I call it light smudge style of application), GAPS....even with overlapping the guy has left gaps...and if he is hell bent on only doing the hood...he has let it spill out and let it haze on parts of the front as well....Sloppy...very sloppy!

Sir cause confirmed to the problem I was facing...solution tested and implemented and the goth mobile is under strict observations from the past 17 hours...I can happily confirm...that it worked!

Since we are into some guessing work today...see if you can identify the problem I was facing and what was the cause...

Since I had already mentioned in a previous post that I was unavailable this Sunday and all detailing had been done by Mr. Orbital in my absence...I was totally unaware of how was everything applied and with what protocol.

Monday, I did the top coat with the detailer...struggled a little bit as the MF got really wet by the end and the coat was giving me moisture problems...anyways the car was looking her usual drooling self on Monday, all day.

Come tuesday, I wasn't meant to do any wet wipe (I want go into a minimum wipe regime...haftey mein teen baar karo mugar 'product' kay saath karo)...but since Mr. D has gone, and this cold wave has come in...I was not in a mood to do a mid week wash on a cold wednesday morning...so I said what the hell...lets wet wipe the car today so there'll be less dust tomorrow and I can do the mid week detailer wipe.

Just like everytime, i started the wipe...but to my horrors...despite all my careful efforts, I was leaving these huge huge wipe marks with moisture trails on the surface...I have done this wipe now quite a few times....this does not happen to me anymore...what is wrong...out came the detailer...nopes no difference...surface got even more bad...out came a dry MF...no difference at all....couldn't leave the car in that horrible shape...frustratingly gave the whole car a wipe (takey look to even ho jaey...)...drove to office in a bad mood...car looked yucky in sunlight...

Wednesday morning...saw the car and fainted...car looked as if I had been treating it like a dune buggy and I just brought it back from dune bashing...

Okay different approach required...filled the spray gun with water and used the spray and wipe method..seemed to work at first but once the MF got wet...again the same thing started happening again but this time only moisture droplets were forming the lines...used the dry MF alongside the wet one...even worse...(I won't reveal what happened here...it was freaky)...plus the damage I had done on tuesday was still staring at me in my face....cleaned it as much as I could...went in for a shower.

Came out after an hour to go to work....what the hell....I swear I wiped the car an hour back...the car was standing as gandee as it was in the morning...Mad I got in the car and drove like crazy...I use the taking off the newly formed dirt by high speed bursts method as well....reached office...COULD YOU BELIEVE IT THE CAR HAD BECOME EVEN MORE DIRTY despite all the mad dashes!!!

Did a careful analysis of the surface and that is when the CAUSE hit me...and everthing started to fit together...

Left the untouched on thursday morning...drove a mountain of dirt to work...

Had already called Mr. Orbital to come thursday night for a little tactical session (I didn't want to dry the car myself) as he works somewhere on weekdays.

and here is what we did...

Rinsed the car with a pipe...let the water flow on the car...Shampooed the car...used the shampoo on the foam method...Rinsed the car again...let the water flow...checked for beading and blanketing....you just cannot believe what I saw...freaked me out for like two minutes and then I got it...damn...never saw this before but it proved my hypothesis like nothing else...

Anyways dried the car using the terry cloth and MF method and Gave it a very detailed wipe with high quantity of Big Orange...and then repeated the whole process....Rinse again, Shampooed again, rinsed again and then applied another session of Big Orange...

So all in all two shampoo sessions, 4 rinsing sessions and two Big Orange sessions...and all of them in 7 degrees of cold night weather and only 16 degree of moisture adding in killing chill factor (go ahead laugh lahorites and Islooites...but hum Karachi walon kay liyay 7 degrees bohat hotain hain)

Gave final wipe...

This morning....Car was clean but missing the lacquerness I had planned to give it a detailer wipe anyways...so that is exactly what I did...however, today it was more of spray and wipe then just wipe session...and yes i could tell the instant results....this was more like it...

After the car was done...5 minutes were taken to simply enjoy 'her return'...baby where had you been all week?

After a nice shower...I headed for work...enjoying my drive after a gap of five days...

oh and yes gave a nice long embarrassing lecture to Mr. Orbital last night...

So can anyone guess the actual problem and the cause???

The terry towel and MF method is quite effective...I must say! I can now safely say that I can dry a car...(well ziyada sahi pata chaley ga when I'll do it in the day time...and not in the night without a light overhead)

Okay guys a tip and a warning...whenever filling petrol/CNG...ALWAYS MAKE SURE THAT YOUR LID SIDE IS ON THE SIDE OF THE PUMP...hum juldee main kaee dafa wrong side laga daytain hain ya bhool jaten hain which side is the lid (SEE MARKING IN METER...IN ALL CARS THERE IS A TRIANGLE TYPE ARROW WITH THE FUEL GUAGE MARKINGS) and we end up getting the pipe pulled all the way to other side of the car...

That thick black rubber pipe with tons of mud on it...is constantly rubbing some part of your car while the fuel is being fllled...if he brings it over the boot...to phir boot pay scratch lagey ga...if he brings it around then bumper pay scratch lagey ga...and trust me the fuel attendant will not give a damn while shaking that pipe that he is ragrofying a scratch maker on your beloved car....SO BE CAREFUL AND USE THE CORRECT SIDE TO GET FUEL PUT IN.

What wax did you use Nomi?...different waxes produce different results...

Are you using a good shampoo? if not then use one...and I mean on the car

And go for a good detailer to begin with...see the results and share them...

Hey bro, thanks alot for pointing the issues, i just collected few more brushes today, and yes about those missing areas: bascially the friend was in real hurry the PreSoak mixture got end and he didn't allowed me to make more lol. I will definitely work hard on my next project and will consider these points

lol, seriously i don't have any idea k polish n wax bi karni hai sidewalls per So how to shine the rubber pipes? hmmm i have 7CF Leather and Tyre Wax, basically i used it on my old Alto, like plastic and rubber areas etc. so you think that particular product is ok? if not, then please recommend a good one to shine plastic stuff like rubber pipes etc..

Polish to steel parts? Which polish you recommend for this job?

Thanks for the words bro, yes i myself seen only shinning cars and engines here, but not like 50/50 cleaning stuff, so atleast from my mistakes yesterday i learned myself a lot and i am sure other's will also pick these points which usually we miss in cleaning and shining the engine bay. Lemme clean somthing out for you, I do cash in on my talent, but thats with my regulars.......an by regulars I mean people who are soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo used to my work that they let their millin an billion dollar rides catch dust when I cant schedule them, but they wont let anyone else touch it......case in concern, there is a very peculair client who called me up one day an asked for a meet........well I did meet him, the guy had a very nice cls....an he said its waxed with this an this....what can you recommend to remove swirls an give the car ultimate showroom shine? I shook my head an said yer not tellin me the truth......Your car dont shine the way the way it should if you use what you claim.....secondly it doesnt smell the way your mentioned wax should smell.......an he point blank refused......I took the wax in concern outa my cars trunk an applied it to the fender.....hazed it, removed it........poor ol man just stood frozen....his face turned red an he blurted everything out.....supposedly the saloon responsible for his cars detail claimed they used such an such prods an all of that balony they feed you.....they compound his car every six months......blithering idiots....I took out the pdm an compared his ride with oem paint readings for the cls......a hefty 20 microns less:o......man did I ever see a pissed dude!!!!!! We scheduled a detail for the weekend an I let him watch as I only washed and waxed his ride.......took me the best part of 4 hours......used my own stuff. At the end of the detail I asked him what he thought......his answer came in the form of a monthly contract for his other 3 prized possesions an a fornightly wash! Turned out the shop was showing him some other stuff, claiming they applied the expensive stuff, whereas they actually applied somthing else......an the price for one ride was 10k a month per car.......!!!!! Coming to my knowledge spreading.........yar its all good, i remember when I started out detailing, there was no one to ask, an yet my passion for the shine kept me fiddling an tinkering, testing an yet more testing an yet more testing.....why not share the knowledge??? Its all good!
