I do believe in ALWAYS being open to new ideas, products and techniques and when I say this what I mean is I am always open to the introduction of the next best thing in relation to pads and polishes. The times we're living in have seen more cool new technology introduced in the last few years then I've ever seen in my detailing journey. So I practice what I preach when I tell others to be open to new ideas, products, pads, tools and techniques. Bring it on...coming to a relatively new topic, an a very dangerous one as well, cutting an buffing.......the first thing to consider is that when we use a buffing pad, we are dealing with a LOT thicker foam material than the foam backed discs typically used, even with an interface pad placed between the backing plate and disc. The next thing to consider is that the abrasive grains are NOT permanently attached to the foam. Certainly, some of the grains attach, some roll about between the foam and the sanded surface, and other grains attach to the foam and then release. Finally, it must be understood that the abrasive grains are not evenly distributed. Some areas of the pad may have NO abrasive material attached to it, while other areas may have grains stacked upon other grains. The unevenly distributed material can sometimes cause microfine marring (or hazing) of the paint surface.
To minimize the possibility of hazing, the pad should be properly primed with buffing liquid, and firm and even pressure should be applied to the machine. FIRM does not mean FORCED! Firm simply means that the pad needs to have an even distribution of pressure applied to it. This accomplishes several things. First, the abrasive grains will cut consistently and evenly when they are contacting the paint surface level to each other. Picture this: If we were hand sanding, we would try our best to keep our hand backing pad level to the paint surface so that the paper could evenly abrade the paint surface, right? Firm pressure across the pad achieves this. Secondly, we want the abrasive grains to attach themselves to the foam. Certainly, we do not desire all of the grains to be attached because the loose and rolling grains serve a purpose, too. Primarily, their movements mimic rolling little spheres (think of ball bearings). This movement helps the pad to glide along, and as the grains roll about, they contact the grains that are attached to the pad, knocking them loose, and allowing them to possibly reattach to a different area of the pad, and in a different position. usman bhai u are moving this thread in very effective and efficent way, first introduction of differnt waxs, polishes, application with hand and now moving towards machines and machine pads, congrats sir gee , trust me u have qualities of real good teacher....

i dont find appropriate words for red lady, its "magic" i have seen red lady in complete makeup before couple of times on this thread but today she is looking $exiest
i can see perals come out in her skin and colour something very deep and rich, infact real colour of car change now, i understand u used dodo products, pls share r experince and method of application.

JAZAKALAHA Ahmad BAhi , really touched.

As Its first time with DoDo so I am 100% in DoDo, to check the result.When you keep it simple than its Simple.

First thing I notice DoDo is all about depth , believe you in me I wish you would be here, pic's are not doing justice, any moment I can bring reflection , but I am keeping my ground to DoDo.

As I mention above very simple , shampoo & than Lime Prime by hand wipe on and wipe off(no detailer spray or any thing else was used) , but yes some panels I did twice according to requirement & satisfaction.Her paint is 6yr old so need take care accordingly & its a caring history by which only Cleanser bring out that much depth.

I will post the Orange crush Pic's also in the night as now I am going to Expo center for Moin Khan event.

Well well well......we finally got somthing from you sir! An MashAllah its a very nice engine detail........please do share the time involved an if you had any trouble with the engine afterwards!

It took me 3 hours with rags,brushes and turtle engine degreaser,engine has never given me any trouble because of waterless engine cleaning process:)

Its All about Depth , again to keep it simple after lime prime next morning just wipe up with damp MF & apply Orange Crush by hand & removal was donn by Rotary

...rotary you shall be looking for atleast 5 or 6 months down the line.......may I suggest you try a hands on approach first so you are aware of pressure an application technique ? You can later on refine it with the DA

in punjabi we use to say " shouq da koi mul nahi "so bhai gee detailing insect dont see age and it can effect anyone in any age, so belive me i am highy infected now even every night i see dreams of differnt waxs, and differnt application methods ( no joking ).

hahahaha...100% agree with you here...had to get my beard trimmed yesterday before the flight...it had gone pretty grungy (rockers will know what I mean)...so had to become an Insaan ka bacha...so went for a quick trimming. After I lost quite a bit of facial hair...the guy gave me a quick water spray on my face to wash of all the cut hair and then picked up a stack of neatly folded tissue papers to wipe my face...as I saw those tissues coming to my face...I yelled...with the thought that abey pagal kay bachey scratches aur swirls pur jaain ***...it took me a couple of seconds to realize that the tissues are being applied to my face and not to my car...

here's to hoping this junoon carries on (H)
