i beleived the phenomenon that a DIRTY WORKING ENGINE IS BETTER THAN A SHINY NON_WORKING ENGINE so used to do the only basic cleaning when required. but vaque bro it was too tempting to see the lush pash engined u do so here are the before pics of a 6 month non cleaned engine and then a little cleaning session by me!! btw this is just 50% of what standards i desire to achieve.wanted to do the rest but my youngest baby isnt well n so abandoned the rest for next time!! Family always PRIORITY 1 especially my youngest daughter n darling of my life! Cruisy can wait!!!

i use the basic of products.use formula wash n wax, then use the Turtle ice synthethic n then top it with carnauba!!! the last pic is of the wax i use. Diax King Hard wax. i must say what a wax at what a price!!! im looking for it for the last 1 yr but unable to find it. costed me Rs 550. it has superb shine n depth n the cost factor is another attraction!! the ever famous Blackwax is with me for many yrs. its now used on the wheels only!! both waxes by DIAX. brought the Turtle Ice from UK n guess what how much i got it for? just 2.95 kwid!! only 2 were left so bought both. but i aways use a thin coat n im sure will last me a yr for a tin the least!! used the cleaner wax for the 1st time ever on this session!! rest a simple arsenal but im happy the results of these relatively low price things!!! the Squixx scratch remover was bought from the UK n ill rate it 6/10. havent used the BMW and MINI waxes. they were lying with my brother n i brought them back for free!!! for interior use the STP son of a gun and used the REVIVE ALL on the tyres. here i woulod like to inquire whether anyone has ever used the DESI soap( Ghaae soap) for cleaning the tyres?? my elder bro was from the Armoured Corps n he showed me the black rubber skirt plates of tanks cleaned with the Desi saaban n they were great looking n had a dark yet dull look. after the desi saaban i apply the revive all n the tyres bling bling!! cheap solutions!!! btw tyres arent dressed yet in the pics !!!

^ BTW the ALTO in the back is my daily runner. its MASHAALLAH literally scrachtless though being a 5 year old car. n u wont believe it but it hasnt even been dusted for a month what to talk of washing n waxing!!! gonna clean it hopefully on Saturday n it too shines alot!! the combination of the Turtle Ice n the King Hard wax is pretty much satisfying to me!!

now i see the DIAX KING wax that im looking for since long!! where did u get it from?? i need a tin bro big time!! just love this wax!! very long lasting. lasts around 2 weeks even when i did not apply the synthethic Turtle ice. great wax in its range!!

see the link below ive been looking for this wax for long!!! sent a few to my bro n he loved it too. shame it aint available everywhere. i remember it came only for a couple of yrs and then wasnt available easily!! even sent fouadbhakht aka viper to Peshawar's market n he was searching it for many hours but coudnt find it after someone told me its available there!!

FINALLY PHEWWWWWWWWWWW!!!! after over a months efffort ive read from start till the end!! the last post!!!! it was a mountain of info to climb n digest n i must say what a thread n would like to appreciate every single one of u for the passion u guys shared for mantaining n efforts you guys put in ur cars!!gr8 job pals/guys/bhaijaans/even uncles!!! :0. everyone loves shiny cars DUHHHHHHH its like asking anyone 10 yrs ago do u like the looks of Aishwarya???? im a bit of a clean n shiny car mantainer myself but not to the extent u guys go!! u lot raised the bar so high that ordinary shiny cars seem pretty ORDINARY now!!! ive tried to take care of my rides as much as i could as from my pay i cant even buy a motorbike! Here i would like to acknowledge/thank/appreciate the love n care my father has for me n he has never turned down any of my requests in my life n has bought me things which i could not have even thought of. ALHAMDOLILLAH i truly feel like a really blessed n one n can't ever thank ALLAH ALMIGHTY enuff!!! so my principle was that if i cant afford a car from my own pocket, the least i can do is not to waste my fathers hard earned money n not misuse/mistreat my rides. so they are pampered to the max i can!!! ill be following this thread regularly as i cant repeat the mistake of not doing so again!!! people at other threads are inquiring why i arent replying em in other threads , they dont know ive been glued to this thread most of the last month!!!! Indeed cars can wait, family is first.......an well ,Zunny bhai...the says goes, theres always two ways of doing things, the right way an the wrong way...alooooota people do things the wrong way an then end up doin horid things to their engine, eventually the myth starts out, ENGINE NAHIN SAAF KARNA CHAIYE! Heck yar kuch nahin hota, you just gota educate yourself over the tricky points...how to take care of electrics, where not to throw pressurised water....etc.....anyway, for the very wehmi, theres always the dry-clean method....just takes a little more time! An bro for a first time detail on the engine.......thumbs up! MashAllah looking nice ! Very nice infact, next time polish out the iron an steel parts too!

Bad luck is what happened bro...had two major activities on the agenda on this trip and both kay saath hand ho gaya...do numbery karnee kee koshish thee in the r8 activity and it didn't work.

The law here is that on a tourist visa you can drive on an international license but if you have a residency then you can only drive on a local driver's license. Unfortunately I fall in the latter class and due to extensive traveling since I got my residency 1.5 years ago I have not yet been able to stay in UAE for more than 3-4 weeks at a time (you need a window of minimum 6-8 weeks to have a good shot at getting a license here)...

I have driven the RS4 on the track before, once just before the residency and once after it by casually using my International license and not showing that I am a resident here. Tried to do the samething this trip...but just my freaky luck that the RTA (UAE road transit authority) people were doing a safety review on the same day. The Auto Drome people refused to accept my international license for the R8 as it was from a RHD country...I got furious, did a lot of argument and told them that I have done the RS4 twice with the same license and that I have driven a lot of LHD driving here in Dubai and the states...but they used the most common and the most lamest excuse used here in Dubai..."sorry sir policy change'.... yeah right...they accepted my booking a day before on the same license and overnight the damn policy changed!!! I guess it was because of the RTA presence that they wouldn't allow it. They agreed on the TT but I was not interested in that.

Eventually they did agree but since RTA was there, everything had to be done by the book, they wanted a copy of my passport along with the license...Now even if I was carrying it...I couldn't give it to them because then they would have found out that I am resident and not a tourist...so that is when I gave up and made a furious walkout...

The kids tried to console me by offering me a race opportunity with them at the outdoor kartdrome but a kart when you are in the mood to thrash an R8 on the track!!! is like being sent to the carousal after not being allowed to sit on the damn rollar coaster.

The other hand was that wifey was lined up for sky diving but for god damn 5 days it was too too windy here...so no skydiving sorties were being done.

So with excess of 3000 AED in our budget...we did the only sane thing we could do...we went and bought the new Ipad2.

But to put salt on our wounds...yesterday, the wind had become gentle...and while walking on JBR walk, we saw the sky diving plane take off quite a few times with dozens and dozens of sky divers jumping off it every half hour...enjoying the skies and the breathtaking view of the Palm...sigh

chalo till the next trip...

P.S. V1 I was thinking of offering the Auto Drome people a free jiggly belly dance, but I had a feeling that they still wouldn't let me drive.

your words realy gives me boost of new energy , specialy the highlighted one in red :-#, u are right we start thinking ourselves as old man after 35 years. today i share u one of fact of my life, before becoming a part of this thread i felt my self tired on weekends and off days and prefer to get washed my cars from service stations but this thread and you brothers change my life, now every sunday morning i get up, wash car, do waxing etc etc, i personaly feel my self energatic and sure bling bling car gives me happiness.

It reminds me, a guy using kiwi shoe polish on the bumpers of khyber:D

i have found even 'turtle ice interior' as abrasive to the dash skin,so i have started avoiding it though it leaves a fresh natural look like elephant leather.

welcom in detailing family and congrat for having such a nice clean civic in my most loving colour.
i highly appreciate your effection with your rides and its all about is "love" as without love we cant care properly such love ones, i am also new in this detailing things and now i start feeling depthness and reflections in car skin, no dount ur car reflections are 10/10 but in my poor experince and knowledge there is still room in depthness, wetness, richness in skin, i would highly suggest you dodo juice wax or at least meg gold class carnaba wax instead of hard shell + final detailer wipe with any renowned brand, turtle detiler easily avilable here at saca plus lahore , armorall at hyperstar or u can also source from abroad meg detailer spray than i bet u , u will immidiatly fall in love with this $exy grey col and u will notice col become more dark and rich.
