Car Care and Detailing Dreams

1/8/2012 was a really confusing day for me. I was planning on detailing my car after finally getting all the stuff together for my detailing session, my first proper kit, and rain happened. I watched it happen as time went by. stupid rain. my car had stuff growing on it since i hadn't washed it in a long time (6-7 days). Last wax was applied about 20 days ago (the gap was with intent) so that it gets off completely making room for the new stuff. Well, detailing didnt happen. but i did get a break and managed to give it a wash. It looked pretty
The finish has been kept with love, it's not perfect but i'm learning. Black is tough to keep but halalala when clean. Almost no swirls at all. Consider this an introduction to my humble meanie (rofl). The BlackBox will hopefully be applied by tomorrow, followed by Mothers step 3. My camera went retarded cuz my niece put some jam in it or something, plus it was cloudy. Or, perhaps, the camera couldn't handle my car's skin :p. Here are some pics after washing with Mother's car wash and drying with a chamois.

Oh heck no man, you dont wana know what I was doin when it started to rain, I was in the parking lot of the office, with the glaze in hand, an was glazing the ride....in a suit...:$....man the guard is like sooooooooooooo amused, every 2 hours or so, I run down, pop the trunk open, take out the glaze, an do an panel, an run back up, I had done a side an the roof when the drops started to pour.... detailer meet par mai gandi gari hi laani hai, ive got 8 details to do from now till 10 in the morning tomorrow.....esp as some cars are to be used for weddings....:( mera pataka chal jana hai, prolly turn up at the gtg in a dangari, smellin of wax an polish with misc white residue spots in my hair! Khair, coming to your ride......ye wash kay results hain?? :'( anso agaay aisa result dekh kar, MashAllah kiya depth mari hai bhai nay! Alllaaaa, the car has been kept with a loota love, wow! Im amazed man, very very clean an mean! I`m looking forward to the waxing results, tab pata nahin kaunsa jin niklayga !

I can picture it, yer sittin next to goth, pattin her, the stuff placed infront of her, an asking......whats my baby want now? Showing her the stuff, telling her what each an every thing does, how shell look after each stage....an well.....baaki to saab ko pata hi hai!

bro in kharian u-mart last week got the Mothers Carnauba. Hes an idiot and selling for Rs1995. In Kharian, Chakwal autos near Askari Bank has great products and a handsome collection of Turtle Waxes incl ice n detailing sprays aswell.ive told him to get me the Meguiars Gold Class etc. He buys his stuff from SACA. He is selling the Turtle Ice wax for 1600. A little expensive than lahore but nevertheless he has the best collection in Gujrat,Kharian-Jhelum area. Do pay a visit. Ive told him to get me presoak aswell. Keeping my fingers crossed.

yes exactly,u mart's price is i little on higher side but i have sourced some good products from them.For the meguiar's i would like to tell you shehryaar ''dubai autos'' has a smart range and plan your next trip to rwp.,Here in gujrat you can find many types of detailing stuff at ''auto-tech'':).
About pre-soak i am a little hesitant(A),i am happy with waterless engine cleaning yet.

thank u sir for liking my ride!!! yep i aagree more can be achieved. my passion for detailing has rejuvenated again with this thread n will be going for Meguiars Gold Class n some other products soon!!.detailer spray will be INSHAALLAH procured this week n will be tried on next session. n as far as love for my machine, well my wife hates it so it means im already in love with it!!! she says my car is more dearer to me than her n gets more time!! do u blame me?? theres nothing more Se*ier than a spanking clean car!!! ill prefer a waxed car over a waxed woman any day any time any place lolzzz

tried urtle interior sprays . it comes in those spray cans wasnt really impressed. stp does give shine. use a damp MF and wipe it off after a day.the shine reduces and gives a dull n clean look.shoe polish?? used to do that to my dads car back in the early 90s! less products and knowledge those days n i was 12 or 13 then!!! this Desi saaban formula is cheap solution n popular with the army drivers. its cheap n easy as it does not make the tyres look dry like the stupid service stations do.nothing like the branded products n tyre dressers but if u have the option between surf n the desi saaban then go for the desi saaban!! give this mashwara to the service station walasa n they liked it saying its more cost effective than surf!!most staff car drivers dont get the funds for such things n use this technique followed by the LUSTER KI POREE !!ive seen Tanks detailed with the desi saban for the annual inspections!!! not really sure if its good for the tyres as dont know the products in this soap might be harmful. but if they arent harmful for the clothes will it harm the rubber ?? nevertheless tyre shiners are the way to go. my B.I.l once bought a bottle which he took from a handwash in england. the tyre shine was awesome. would give a slick look n was kinda waterproof. cant remember the name but loved it like hell!!!n would last ages n the tyres were always black n shiny. will try to source the name n let u guys know

I am not telling about ''turtle ice spray'' rather its ''turtle ice total interior care'' a lequid with ''turtle's MF towel''.
I have observed that this lequid is erasing some of the color of leather's finished layer,so i have decided to leave it at once.

Well mujay tou bohat sai ''tannaay'' sun nai ko miltay hain iss mousam mai from all of my family because i dont want the washed/waxed car to go out,people say cars are made to take care of you in such weather aur aik tum ho:S.

Landed back...at home now...wifey got happy as I started opening up all the suitcases as soon as we got home...and then got extremely pissed off, when I left tossed open suitcases in a mess after taking out all my "shopping" out like a junglee (in her words)...set them all up on the table and started taking the pictures...pissed her off a lot...in revenge she has conveniently hidden the camera tp computer lead...

Dude we are very much alike i get that alot from my family as well, balkay mujay to pagal boltay hain saray cz when ever i see a wet street i always turn back for an alternate route , my family gets really annoyed bt i jus cant change my slf on that, aur baarish mai to wo mujay kehtay hain isko to rehnay hi do......

Well i am confused that which product is suitable for Black trim parts of the car, like i have shown in this picture..

I know polish/wax should be avoid in these areas as it leaves white marks on them.. so what else? I have "Turtle wax Ice Total Interior Car" and on product it says "Clean and Conditions Plastics, leather and vinyl" so this product can be used for exterior black trims? if yes, then do you think it will attract alot of dust??

you can use anythig from turtlewax or mothers but plz never use luster polish that ruins it and what ever you may use apply it with a small piece of sponge
