Just to give an update on the 3M fake wax issue.

1. Took the wax to the Journey 2 music, who expressed ignorance about the fake version. Anyway left the wax with him to investigate. He promised to replace it if the 3M was found to be fake. After about 4 days, it was found that someone (some khaypia) bought some maal from abroad and sold it to him at a cheaper rate and he bought it from him to get more profit. Journey 2 Music guy bought another lot from the official 3M distributor and checked it which confirmed that the earlier lot was fake. In the end he acknowledged his mistake and replaced with the genuine 3M wax.

2. I had earlier written to 3M Pakistan about the fake wax. I got the official reply 2 days back on Friday that the wax is fake and I should send them a copy of receipt from Journey 2 Music in this regard. They had confirmed it from 3M Europe. The reply came after about 2 weeks. I noted that I did not tell 3M from where I purchased the wax, however they knew the shop name. This means they read my post on this forum or from some other source.

I also emailed to 3m same day and never got a reply to date. I did mention to themt hat i bought it from Journey To Music in defence and is he an official distributor or not.

Anyway, good to know that J2M realised his mistake and got you the real one now enjoy detailing and show the magic

Just purchased a ride in pearl black color , I need suggestion in following areas.

A good polish/wax that i can use after every week ?
A good shampoo for car wash ?
Should i go for Cutting/polish or royal shield ?

Any other suggestions for pearl black color ?

your black sunny is one of the best i have seen so far..

considering the age of your car and the shine, it is noway that a normal application can get that shine. Keep up the detailing. Depth is there but can be enhanced.

well kashif bhai this is not its original paint :'( the car was not kept carefully in past and its color gave up it was maaroon!! then the car came under my hand and I got it painted in 2011 now I am working to get this car back to its original position. the inspiration to get it painted was because of this thread.
well the products very limited:):) armourall shampoo and turtle ice wax only

well Elien the question is not very clear...

are you looking for a clay bar only and you do not want a lubricant with it...or are you looking for a clay bar which does not require lubricant treatment with it...

well if it is the first case...normally as per my knowledge lubricants only come in bundle/kit deals...a lot of clay bars out there are available as stand alone products...you then either have to buy thier lubricant seperately or you can create you own with a lil shampoo/soap mixed in water...or you can use your detailer...in either case...a lubricant will have to be used with a BAR...

If you do not want to use a lubricant...then there is always liquid clay...

all I can say is...if you would have been here in Karachi...I would have sent my 12 year old to take lessons from you...man you will just be kickin some A$$ in detailing 10 years down the road...excellent job done and I can see someone is constantly working on improving his previous applications...great work lil bro...

Work on getting your color richer and richer...get some good naubas and some synths...and play around with them...you are at a level where now you can and you should start playing around...what you say usman?
