Just do one thing(personal suggession), save these images of ur car in ur PC, and after sometime down the road, when u've learnt enough from this thread; do another detailing session on ur ride. Then take the pics and compare for urself

I need your help , my brother scratched my Corona's rear left door with a tree (choney wala ) some whitish lines have appeared on it
Already tried Scratch out Freakin piece of crap didn't work

Okies bro, this is a relatively simple thingy, just get some compund an buff this out, start manually with hand strokes an move upto a machine if you have to, this will require some patience, remember when cutting stay vigilant, every few strokes lift up an observe how much improvement youve gotten, when youve reached the point that satisfies you, just wax it to preserve it that was the simplest I could guide you!

I have mentioned it before on the thread....the plan is that V1 will be sitting on a lawn chair and drinking a pina collada...he will have a chitharr (whip) in his hand like gubbar and we will be dancing I mean detailing like basanti...and Veeru (Ahmed bhai) and Jay (Kashif) will helplessly be looking on... waisey come to think of it...hum basanti say milein na milein mugar Ahmed aur Kashif veeru aur jai say zuroor miltay hain

Now can you be specific about which compound wax/polish ?
I mean like which brand would be better ?

okay one question here...

This may sound dumb...well I have yet to play with compounds or anything like it...my question is:

what is these?...a). are they the white choona transferred on to the car?
b). are they scratches which have cut some level of paint and have filled the cavity with the choona from the TREE?
c). or are they permanent paint fade marks as the friction between both surfaces caused the paint to burn/fade similar to if we rub our hand or cloth on a naked paint surface very quickly and for too long (it sort of leaves a white faded skid mark)?

because if it is b or c...then compound to me makes sense...or anything that will cut the paint...

but if it is a. then that means those white paint marks are OVER the surface...and sort a like an overspray...so why cannot clay tackle this? and this is my question...

Actually these are called scuffs, scratches damage the pant the go beyond it
While scuffs are on the clear coat which can be compounded

have seen a couple of vids on Youtube and what i have observed is that compounding is a serious game

bros had a long n hectic day. im finding it difficult to keep awake! the THARAK n NASHA of this thread is such that i feel a day is incomplete without scrollling to the last post in this thread. rest laters but a quick observation regarding Armorall detailer. i did the mid week wipe with Armorall detailer before going on a 100km journey which involved some short dusty patches. i noticed that the car has attracted much more dust as compared to a simple water wipe, has anyone else noted the same? 'DM' uses Armorall alot n i would especially like to know your observation on this. usually if i go on that route on return the car has dust but its hardly visible n light. this time its as if its stuck to surface n quite a layer. i noticed the same earlier as well. though ive only used the detailer total of 3 times yet. im having second thoughts on this detailer spray. detailer sprays do a quick bling but this dust attraction thing im hating. was is cos of the static due to the MF?should i have done a wipe with a wet MF soaked in water to neutralise the static after the detailer wipe? or are they useless from the outset? your comments please!!

the before and after pic of shazo's car literally tells a story about what detailing really is, it tells the difference between a clean car and a detailed car ... loving it !

@zunny bhai: i am no pro, but as i have learned on this thread, carnauba attracts dust, and armor all is based on carnauba so obviously it will attract dust (umar bhai thinks it is much diluted but i still find it very much waxy)

as for the remedy, lets wait for the pro's to answer.

Try making a kushta, get some desi white comp,the one you can find in small white jars, an mix scratch out with it, rub some on the door, an spray water on top, repeat the process till you get those white marks out.....for minor cuts like this, I wouldnt be too worried about going into brand names, you need a minor cut in those specific areas.....manage with the local stuff, yes if you had to do the whole car, I`d advise on a megs scratch x, or ultimate comp!

Bhai jan this is a mixture of Option B & C from the list of your probables. As for your point of option A, I`d love for you to research on this rather logical question.....during your research please focus on the following, CLEARCOAT, ENERGY TRANSFER, PAINT SCUFFS.

Brother its def a case of static, I`m using 4 different types of detailers in my routine, one from Turtle, one from Armour All, one from Megs, an lastly one from DODO, I havent had too much trouble will them. Just for a better understanding on my end, how many squirts of the detailer are you using per panel ? Are you squirting on the panel an then wiping it down or your suirting onto the cloth multiple times an then wiping whole sides at a time ? As for the solution, no two cars are similar, so experiment, alternate quantity of detailer used, one day try it with a heavy dosage of detailer spray, next day try it with a light dosage of detailer spray, perhaps give the car a moist mf buff down after your detailer wipe for both quantities, try it immediately after the detailer wipe an perhaps with the delay of 24 hours....then check the results and see what works for you.
