dont use cotton towel for drying as its bit harsh compare to m/f towel ( lesson learnt from dear usman bhai ), u can source fluffy type , bit longer lint m/f which will good enough for the drying job.
bhai jan 4 m/f more than enough for one car.

1) 1 m/f use for drying car
2) 1 m/f use for soft dry wipe for supreem shine pupose
3) 1 m/f for buffing out wax
4) 1 m/f for soft dry wipe for supreem shine ( or wet wipe to reduce static charge ) you can use same 2nd one m/f for this porpuse means u need total 3 m/f for the whole task.

u already orderd good quality stuff:)

i did bought a very fluffy towel at first which was very big 27 X 52,i thought its way too big,n instead used a smaller new one.now waiting for meg's towel
i use 1 mf for washing
1mf for drying
1mf for pre wax cleaning but mf starts to get black quickly n doesnt removes the pre wax properly,so i washed n dried the first 2 mf's that were used for washing to use them but until then had to use a non mf but new cloth for removing pre was
n last mf for cleaning n buffing stage 2 wax (black box)
so thats how i felt that 4 are less atleast for wax stage

wese ghar wali's nahi kehte, ghar k boss ki kehte hain
and yes its a good wax. but longevity wise it does not survive for that long, unless you top it off with a good top coat that can last long.

just out of curiosity, platinum series precision wax, is it a hybrid?? i dont think so...

gee bhai its fall in hybrid finishing waxes as its not 100% caranuba wax its contains polymers:), yes its true u cant compare its durabilty with syth but still car skin time to time need moisturizing treatment to keep its skin touch like baby skin

wese be durability ka kyia kerna hai ? jab every week wax kerna hai ??

frankly speaking my heart inclining towords natural waxes ( sara kasoor amir bhai ka hai )

ohh u usuing black box than sure u need more m/f or bhai jan 27 x 52 wala fluffy towel app apne lye wash room main use kerne ko rakheen ( hands or face dry kerne ko bola hai kuch or nahi :P)

i have been following this thread for the last 2 3 weeks approx and learning lot alhamdolillah!

specially the posts from MISTERO regarding the basics and have started shampooing the car (got hold of shampoo and MF).

Will get hold of wax and detailer n hopefully apply this weekend inshallah

Wanted to get some knowledge from you ppl

Have got some paint spots and scratches on my cultus 2009 (images attached)

Kindly advice how to get rid of them?

well a drying towel is not necessary ... and i usually dont dry the car wetting the entire MF that i have and its tooo big
shade definitely gives the edge
for drying... use a washed and dried MF

n for black box wax should i use mf cloth or this pack of supreme shine?

wow, many congratulations, so its confirmed that we can get stuff from amazon, cool... there are delivery charges which increase the cost but still, atleast we will get 1 # maal (H) So i will hopefully order few things from amazon tonight..

Well i am using the same Meg's supreme shine and water magnet, i usually wash them with turtle ice shampoo.. or sometimes with Lifeboy Handwash liquid.. Just keep these cloths away from surf/detergents.

well regarding Black Box, i don't have black car, but mainly this supreme shine mf are best to buff off the wax and to give a final wipe..

i really missed that Thread now i am back
its too bad i didn't took pics of a Santro which i worked on sunday
that poor thing belonged to my friend and its parked outside his house and every day some kammena kuuta harrami bhencho*d puts scratches on his car just jealously
so Sunday he comes to me and i see the car and im in shock is it the same santro? which we bought on the same day?
so then 2k cutting cream F1 scratchout and all stuff i had was used lines scratches we spent 3 hours with that car in my Garage doors open and Ac/Dc's music Blowing from santro and after that yes 80% lines Gone not even noticeable at all that boy is a happy boy now but we didn't washed it afterwards as it was too tiring to get scratched out some scratches were so deep they left Dents but all work done now after Wash and some Ice Syn treatment that Santro looks nice now he will gona bring his Civic as well lets hope we don't screw that up as its in black color:O
Recently did this treatment to cuzins mehran 08 which looked like a 90 model mehran again no time for pics and that mehran looks scratch less from the sides but it has some nasty dents but acceptable to un trained eye.

The tag on these meg items says do not use bleach or fabric softeners,i know about bleach but what is fabric softener?
also it says remove tag before use,so should i cut it with scissors?

i guess i'll use mf cloth for removing step1 pre wax n meg's supreme shine for removing step 2 wax n the buffing
these are so big,can be folded n easily used for whole car n i got 3 of them

Well no idea about local price, as i also got my previous lot from usa/amazon.. my cousin was traveling at that time so i got my things from him, no shipment cost, only amazon direct prices

Now i think you got lucky, you ordered things very cheap. I am now ordering things, they have revised the shipment charges..

Case 1: for 1 supreme shine, price is same 5.09$ but shipment is like 36$ now for this single supreme shine 3 pack..

Case 2: for 2 supreme shine, price is 10.18$ with shipment 41$..

So what they did is, they put a base price for shipment.. and that is huge i want to order 3 Water magnet and 1 supreme shine.. and here are the details:
