Can i use petroleum jelly for this purpose...tar should be solvable in diesel too..what you suggest? well on the internet i have seen reviews claiming WD40 a valid solution for this problem...ppl have used petrol as well....

Sir, there are a billion possible ways to tackle it, the trick is not to get it off only, the trick really is to save your clear coat while removing it...case in point : not for amatuer hands to try, since tar sticks on the top of the paint, Ive even been able to take small spots off with a 7'o Clock paper thin blade......Ive done it with a knife too....you must know how much pressure to apply when you play with such things...so not for an newbie, hell just put cuts in his paint.....then at service stations they commonly use diesel on a rag to clean it......heck ive seen some painters using sandpaper on that area an then just compounding back the cut area.......I used engine cleaner on the spots I found on the car`s firewall an it worked as well,you can experiment on the glass with petroleum jelly...but on paint dont let it stay on too long...say approx 30 or 40 secs.....just so you dont end up spotting your paint.....do remove it asap as tar staying on too long will discolour the spot it was stuck to, a yellow or very light brown mark will be left if tar is allowed to reside too long. The methods I have mentioned are a sure shot way of removing tar without damaging the clearcoat, thought I personally feel claybaring is the best an safest method...

@ margallar, yes he`s informed me as well of the dog..............sigh............yesterday at the gtg I scolded him, he was of the idea to finsih the detaling midway cuz his contact who sold him the dog was ready for delivery an he wanted to go an get it from Gujranwala.......Though me an tayyab an devil thought it was more like the seller had placed a gun to the dogs head an then called an given the phone to the dog who had barked a plea for help to star...."aay menu mar daiga, munu aithon aa kay bacha laay"

Vague do polish the rims and embelms wid khurram bhai's chrome polish. Can the rotary buffer be used for this?

Yes we already did the rims with it..........I dont think it would be wise to use a rotary on plastic chrome.............Ill be posting the reviews for Khurum Bhais products when I use them tonight personally as well as on my painted plates.............Ill only recomend what I trust myself....the first impression was good............but only after through tinkering Ill give my verdict on them...

Yea bro same here. aur mamun k comments ka to mein ne aap ko btaya tha. He was also very happy after meeting you. And tea was nice aur self service ka bhi apna hi maza hota hai. For that problem I'll keep you updated regularly. will be talking to a lawyer on phone today.

And for swirls, I am caught up in a couple of problems "5 months ho gaey sayappa hi parra huva hai" iss wajah se mein car to bhi time nahin de paa rha. hopefully one problem will be in a week or so inshaAllah. uss k baad program rakhtay hain :D. JazakAllah Bro!

Mothers Rubbing Compound sells for 2300 or 2800 at autoline, confirm.

Rubbing compounds may be a little hard, so look for a polishing compound, 3M polish, rubbing compound although are clear coat safe now a days. also make sure you read the instructions and description about the product when you buy, i would recommend you buy a product which could be used by hand atm. Using a DA buffer is quite tricky, but if you have enough hours under your belt, then give it a try, it would work wonders.

Brother 3M Compound ranges from Rs.1500 and goes to maybe Rs.3000.
Mothers also has a Rubbing Compound and the product no is 81132.I don't know about its cost but it will be less than Rs.2000, thats my guess.I suggest you to go for 3M Compound,their polishes are very good.You can easily find it on Montogomery Road,particulary Saca Plus Autos.Instead of going for other brands,you should go for 3M Compound.

I havent used mothers compound, waiting for sardarsaeed to post his review about it, he recently bought it. but i can definitely vouch for 3M rubbing compound and NU Finish. Both are clear coat safe, i havent used NU finish a lot, only once or twice, but 3M has been with me for a very long time, and it has worked wonders for me.

Rain rain go away, the detailers want to come out an play!!!! Project sunny shifted to tomorrow cuz of excesssssive rain water all over the city.........my city had trouble coming out of our own street in the morning, stalled twice......the sunny will only reach my place if it can float.........project will resume tomorrow....Tayyab I hope your not crying for the rotary...its safely in my custody, last night the wire an the body of the rotary were cleaned....i even used dashboard polish later on...the wool pad was washed as soon as I reached home....its in good hands, thought I tried calling you, your phone was off......if you need it, just holler an I`ll be over...JazakAllah

No mate, I`m puttin it on till tomorrow, my block is built a good 15ft below road level an water drains into our street......its currently near two n a half feet in my street................I half clutched my way to the main road in the morning, as soon as I let the clutch go fully the car would just sputter an die.........his sunny is a bit old an the doors are changed, I dont want to risk flooding his car.......aik kaam thek ho aur 4 naye kharab ho jayen...no use...so tll tommorow.........pakoray khao tay maujan maro!

Sir, the great times start rolling when we are together, theres no doubt about it.....we were focused on work an were too tired to post in detail.....but Ive put in a few words to give an idea of the status so far......the sole reason I didnt allow star to put pics is whats happening now....the delays cause a loss of interest an uncompleted projects arent fun to watch...tomorrow night when we get to the car for final prep an all, the pics will be shortlisted...put into t proper detailed report an then posted......InshAllah you`ll have fun with that one............abi dil thami rakhiye........dulhan kay anay mai zara waqt hai

Yes Yawer Bhai you are absolutely right that's why I am suggesting wheeels1 to buy 3M Compound.You also have used it and you know what are the results.Plus the review about 3M Products are all positive.
