Hey, I am using my DA with a convertor bought locally in Rawalpindi, works excellent for 4+ hours of detailing.

i always use double bucket to wash the car
i was just cleaning the dust on daily basis to save time while keeping the car clean
i guess will watch youtube video for detailer spray use
detailer spray can be used on dust?
first spray then wipe with mf n then wipe again with clean side?
since i'll be using black box detailer,it will turn the mf black quite quick
couldnt clean the car today,i guess now will give it a wash in a day or 2 n then a coat of #26

black is hell difficult to keep dust free in pakistan, in case of dust layer dont wipe the mf as it will creat secratches and swirls, use pat/dab methoed , well in start i found it difficult but once u use to it than it wont take more than 15 minuts, #26 attracts less dust than gc

I wish i could get hold of something which you have mentioned (Japanese Converter) Found some local ones not sure if they will serve the purpose right.I am not aiming for major swirls i have silver colour and it does not Exactly have swirls but i can see cobweb like marks when its parked under white light which makes me frustrated and i cannot get rid of them by Hand thats for sure, if you look at my age you know what i mean i did go to NEXT Engeering here in KHI Dealing with 3M even they told me they cant do Better Than what i already have Done . So i would be really Glad if you suggest something ?

sure we are almost same age group so i can understand how difficult polishing by hands well it would be helpful if u share ur car skin pics here for better understanding, well being detailing principles should use least abbrasive products first like i found trutle swirls and secratch remover good for cobwebs, use ornage lc pad on ur porter cable da with speed 5.5 and good massage to ur car skin

if u like i can ref u a very reliable professional detailer belongs to dc team karachi who can do this work for you with rotery polisher with less than half of time compare to da polisher, about da convertor i am sure he can also guide you its sourcing in karachi , sure he is far better than next engeering khi

I usually wont disagree but a good DA polisher like the porter cable at a high rpm with a good cutting pad like the meg burgundy and or the LC yellow pad with the ultimate compond or the machine glaze and you can have VERY good swirl correction. Not perfect but yes def very good and its blooooddddyyy saffee compared to a rotary.

very well said. It does wonderfull correction with 4.5" backing plate and 5.5" pads. Under-estimating porter cable DA is big mistake.
Even if the cutting/paint correction is done with Rotary, DA is needed to burnish it to hi gloss shine.

I am using my Meg G110V2 with the convertor, physically its small in size but heavy quite a bit. Will take a couple of pictures tomorrow if I remember. Also it cost me 950rs here and it was the biggest convertor they had available.

Hate the quality, hate the power adjuster switch. Will upgrade to Flex forced DA soon.

Oh Thanks!!! where could i see it ? PCXP is exactly whats in my mind actually i have come across of a 500W converter Guy told me he can arrange 1000w i will sure ask for a 1500W also,however Converter Built quality looked really Terrible which made me Scared a bit .

I have a black colored car and its really difficult to maintain as even the smallest layer of dust shows on it. I read about quick detailers but the dust we have here is more than it can handle, i mean quick detailers can be used on dust but the dust in a single day gathered on the car is enough to scratch the car. Best way maybe would be the dab / pat method or wash the car :).

i tried searching for pat/dab method via google n opened up all links of this thread but couldnt find it

chaudhry sab, trust me, get some mothers detailer spray, spray a very small amount on each panel and just remove the dust with a microfiber cloth, it wont take you more than a few minutes, just use your common sense

This morning another thought struck me. I am facing another issue that since the hood is the most exposed and bigger part of my car, and mostly people write something on it with finger when it has a layer of dust. So i am most worried about the hood, not to get scratches on it when these idiots start writing something on this layer of dust. I was thinking that at least i should keep the bonnet clean, wash only the car bonnet if there is dust on it. At least this will keep the writing / design experts away from my car. I could wash and clean the rest of the portion when i have time or on weekend.

mostly its the trunk where people start writting stuff n i have strictly prohibited every1 in house from doing that but how can u stop children of guest :mad:
