Lemon max is good as its a strong detergent which will remove grease and hard stains easily when used with a toothbrush. Otherwise you can also use another desi method like surf yes i'm serious. A few days back a guy posted pics here after spending five hours cleaning the engine bay (each and every corner) with SURF excel ! It looked great.

For a proper job you may need pre-soak and a degreaser spray/liquid. You may want to cover air filter (if its exposed or open), air intake, alternator, alarm hooter (if you have one), other electrical stuff etc. Use a brush or a toothbrush, depending on how much space you have to move your hand around. You may need a metal polish for unpainted metal parts in the bay like the headers. Start by removing the hard dirt and mud stuck in the spaces. You will need pressure for this but be careful while spraying. Start by applying the degreaser and give it some penetration time. A toothbrush is an option but a detailer brush is better. Have you ever seen the brushes used to clean bottles? The one's that are stuffed inside the bottle and rotated to clean it. Use that brush to help in the cleaning process. When you're done hose it down to reveal a clean bay. For the final step a dressing for plastic/rubber parts is required to protect the bay's parts and to keep that clean look.

I don't know much about cleaning engine bays nor about the products used. Though, i hope i helped.

yar engine pe use kerne k leye keh reha hun. he lives in peshwar where the fancy products are not aval. When it comes to detailing shopkeepers only got formula and cosmic in peshawar. So I gave him suggestion which is practical and also it can fetch him good results.

No sir it really works. Surf excel is also good.

btw syn over natural is favorit combo of this thread though its life less than natural over syn but still people love it here due to depth with high reflections and less dust attraction
no doubt these sharp/warm colours have attraction compare to lighter shades but meduim silver is also decent colour and if properly detail than have its own charm

Ahmed Bhai, I am in more than 110% agreement with you on the fact that Yes, this color demands love,care or i should say Affection. and thats what it deserves....and people like us who value that, buy them ... this one is a replacement of my ex..cultus it was..pearl red..same color category (the one that came in Swift) This one was brighter in shade and paint quality was much improved as it was the same used for swift. the previous models before 2010 with old back lights, had a duller shade...sharing its snaps after 1 year and 10 months of its purchase.. 75K KMS on oddo.. products used on it...
1-Ice liquid Clay after every 10K kms or 5 out of city trips (Every 2nd or 3rd month)
2-Mothers Scratch Remover
3-WAX: Meguire NXT or Step-3 twice a month
4-Interior: Meguire interior deailier (NXT)

To be honest with you, this color used to go dull in nothing more than 15 to 20 days or after two washes without waxing. So undoubtedly, to maintain the gloss and depth, it definitely did ask for my fortnightly session - 3 to 4 hour long. It was truly a great experience to practice detailing techniques and goods on it. This car never had to visit the workshop for any manufacturing fault or maintenance. Yes, not even a single time. Preventive Maintenance is the secret behind it...
