y is it so that matt finish gives no reflection though its looking quite cool where as with a polished gloss finish there is more reflection?

n does detailing works on any of the 2 finishes?

Matte paint/wrapping doesn't show reflections but it reflects the beauty of the car which is why its cool. Matte paint is not even, which is why there are very dull/no reflections. If you see it microscopically, it has tiny bumps all over which scatter light rays instead of evenly reflecting them. The waxes you use on gloss paints are not used on matte paint because they contain oils which can give a slight shine to the paint. You don't want that because it makes matte look ugly and.......not matte-like.
There are special waxes for matte paints but they are hell expensive.

If you're talking about matte wrapping care then it doesn't need any wax, polish etc. I asked them. They said it only need microfiber towel cleaning.

i did some research regarding matte paints (not wraps), you should use spray waxes on them rather than pastes or liquids but not neglect them

Liquid and paste waxes have many pros and cons.
Liquid waxes have a lower melting and boiling point which makes their life shorter than most paste waxes. But liquid waxes are easier to apply than paste because they are in liquid form and have lubricating polymers/agents present in them which make application and removal an easy and quick job. You can apply them not only by hand but by machine too. Its also easier to apply a thin layer of wax because you can spread the wax on the applicator pad and remove any excess. The main purpose for applying wax is transferring protection from the wax to the paint surface; what you remove is the wax residue left behind. In hot climates liquid waxes can have a shorter life because the surrounding heat causes the layer of protection to be weak because the wax dries quickly, giving less bonding time to the wax. Liquid carnauba waxes are good as last step.

Paste waxes have higher melting and boiling point which makes their life longer than liquid. This type may be a challenge to use especially if you're doing the whole car at one time. The applicator pad is rubbed a couple times on the paste to lift it and then applied to the paint. Pastes do last longer than liquids. It?s a bit harder to have an even thin coat with paste waxes but its possible. Paste waxes take longer time to dry but i think that?s good because more protection will be transferred. They are also harder to remove and you may need the help of a detailer spray to easily buff it out. This type should be used as first or second layer depending on type of wax.

Overall, I would prefer paste for longer protection but a paste + liquid combo is not bad.

i dunno about that, the guys who apply it can tell best, but my wild guess is that you should wax it

3. Turtle Microfiber Mitt (for final finishing touch after LSP Rs-250)
4. Meguiars MF ( a one time long term investment Rs-1450)
5. Turtle Crystal Polymer Glaze (Special Thanks to great guidance from our beloved Ahmed Bhai (H) the Guru g RS-800 for 500ml)
6. Mother's Micropolishing Glaze Step-2 (will be resting in the vanity kit, courtesy Ahmed Bhai's highly recommended Turtle Crystal Polymer Glaze...for my new city..-RS 1000/-)

Will be applying the Glaze, following by # 26 tomorrow morning Inshallah and will definitely share the results...

a long ago i used whole 3 step process on my 2004 silver civic
mother claim it "pure polish" and its first step to prepare the base for further 2 steps, as its polish so its remove swirls, secratches , oxidation, old bulidups of wax layers, usualy polishes smoothen the paint, give deep clear gloss but what i remmber my experince with this polish was something differnt, yes its remove the old buildups, oxidation but prominent the skin imperfactions like secratches and dull the skin
i belive there must be something wrong with my application at that time as mother is renowned brand.

however step 2 micro polishing glaze enhance the vission in paint and deep gloss
after step 3 i noticed my metalic silver more clean , clear with more metal flake pop but many of light secratches still there ( for which i firm belive its due to my inappropriate application and lack of thorough massage of step 1)

this 3 step is good product but its life very short until u seal it with sealant

in case if u use this 3 step system than my rout map wuld be

step 1 - step 2 - syn wax- step 3
i belive syn wax before step 3 would enhance life
