Nice results sir, I`ve used the astonish bug an tar remover, seemed good value for the money, but boy oh boy is it stinky! Do mention the number of hours put it ! MashAllah! well maintained an kept beautifully!

Brother, yer lacking in depth, go a bit deeper, what sort of prods did you use ? how many hours put it ? what was the procedure ? MashAllah, good work for a first post!

I need your suggestions the two issues listed below;

1. Paint protection film.
I have plan to wrap my car with a paint protection film, known as 3M scotchgard film. I have the option to buy direct from 3M USA. However, if there is an authorized re-seller of 3M (original) products in Sialkot, Lahore, Gurawala, Islamabad then I can buy locally. Please let me know if you have such information.

2. There is some dust sitting on my car engine compartment. I want to clean car Engine. Since, I never used or washed the vehicle engine compartment with water. Is there an alternative? Please suggest? Remember that I will never wash engine compartment with water.

Looking forward to your response.

1. 3M is officially doing it in Lahore, you can contact INH workshop, I think they have it over there.

2. Use engine detailer in spray bottles, squirt it on an wipe it off, no need for water! Though, wont be too economical!

You have come to the right place to learn detailing. Insha Allah detailer brothers here will guide you.
Dry dusting is a big no-no because it causes swirl marks and pushes the dust/dirt into paint. You should know that washing the car with detergents like surf will dull and eventually ruin the paint so the use of quality car wash is recommended. Also, if you wash with cheap cloths they will cause swirls, spider web marks so use a washing mitt along with the car wash for a proper wash. Use a drying towel or microfiber chamois for drying as they will suck up water without leaving water marks. Rely on the two bucket method for washing; one bucket has car wash solution and the other has clean water. When you're done washing one panel, rinse the mitt in the clean water bucket and move on to the next panel.

Next, if you feel you paint surface is shiny but has rough feel then you'll need a clay bar to remove the dirt and contaminants that are within the paint and not visible to the eye. If the paint is oxidized and swirled up then a polish will restore the look and condition for a better shine. But sometimes car paint is severely oxidized and overall look of car is dull so a compound followed by a polish is used to to revive the lost glamour the car once had.

The last step is waxing. A quality wax will give protection from factors like U.V rays, pollution, tree sap and other microscopical factors. At the same time it will add a temporary shine to your paint. After washing/claying/polishing this is an important step to ensure your efforts did not go to waste and to keep your car protected and shiny. The prep work matters too but this step has its own importance. Buy microfiber cloths for removing the wax residue.

After that off-roading (Click Here) my bike was fully covered with dust.. And as i was tired so didnt bothered to clean the bike.. Today took some time out to clean the bike..

MashAllah! How old is this machine now ? Looks pristine! Loads of work goes into bikes, cuz everything is open to the viewer! You pulled it off without a hitch! Doin wonders ma man!

Today I planned to the give my ef the first semi detailing session, since long awaited it came out of the workshop from paint job . I kept in mind that its a 90 model and should be treated accordingly so i tried to clean her with what ever i had in my store (A) (nothing special)

Don't know about the rules of this thread so Im posting the typical products used as well

- 2 x Microfiber (1 for drying 2 for polish removal)
- MOTHERS CG Car Wash
- Turtle Swirl & Scratch remover
- Turtle Metallic Car Wax
- Typical 7cF tyre treatment

try washing n waxing it at home and dont go to service stations and if at all u go there, give em ur own shampoo , wash mitt n microfiber to wash,dry n wax. Don't let em use those rags on ur car's skin.

For products I will refer you to experts as I am myself a novice in this field.

this picture is a year back, just wanted to share with you guys, this was done from some guy now if i am going for full detailing what method should i use?

-wash
-shampoo (meg nxt)
-dry
-meg scratch x... after cleaning,
-compound (meg ultimate compound)
-wax (which one best for dark color?)

Just the same as I did, baray khayalat miltay hain bhai jee! My choice of equip was a bit different though, 3M Apc with some Thai detailing brushes, then just sprayed down with a power washer! Tomorrow InshAllah will dress the plastic bits an polish out the iron ones! Heck of engine bay shazaday! MashAllah!

sir jee, how did you polish out the metal parts? with some metal polish like brasso etc? and how do you compare 3M apc with Sonax engine cleaner?

not bad dude , not bad the main thing regarding engine bay is to give it attention & now 'n' then visit engine bay , clean it & inspect it , trust my by that habit you start noticing lot of things other than engine detailing

Thanks a LOT aamir bhai! you set milestones and we set off to achieve them. And yes sir, thats exactly my way. I look at it every now n then and find tricky spots. Handling them one by one is alot easier than trying to kill them all at once.

sir jee, aapne bhi bara arsaa city ki tight tareen engine bay detail ki hai, want some tips and tricks from you expertise regarding small spaces and small pipes in there.

Very nice effort ma sha Allah but few observations regarding placement of cng regulator n advancer
1. try relocating the regulator to another place as its current location is something which is at forefront to get a blow in case of collision God forbid. You must have seen the pipes of radiator going off in case of frontal impact but those contain water and here it is CH4 Methane gas which can add to the heat of collision.

2. Try to fix it behind the airfilter box close to firewall area if there is enough space , the place where the green advancer is present, or you can find another safe place for it if you got what I wanted to make u understand in pt 1.

3. When washing the car wrap the advancer in a plastic bag or something like that.

Hope you don't mind my above points but couldn't resist writing those as safety first.

engine boht tight hai bhai. I cut my hands usually at 4 or 5 places when peeking inside.

I remember ur vario sir. very well indeed. How is it going on?
and pipes ka mat poochain sir, tamashay laganay partay hain for the small areas but thankfully I managed to clean almost every bit of dirt on them. Once cleaned, all you need is proper maintenance of the machine. Detailing after such prolonged periods that you forget the last time when the car was cleaned means nothing.
