Doesnt this thing cause scratches or Swrills on Paint?

yes it does in TOP GEAR like 3-4 years back 3 cars were tested for different washing techniques in UK service station local homw wash and indian wash..indian wash wash on top prefferred washes but the draw back was in the end they would use this item which would cuase swirls....
