i just cant understand y honda is so satisfied with their low sales. first they moved away from their key 1.6l segment which caused a massive set back to sales of civic and now the city is unable to compete with the cow.. the current stats shows that the sales of corolla is 7 times more than that of city while 4 times more than the collective number of civic and city.. :o

Corolla sales have gone up because the Gli is the only complete and afordable car in Pakistan at the moment.

The Liana is more complete and more affordable.

But may be lack of ABS brakes is one of the causes
as it is an expansive system and if we add its cost to city's price it will be more than GLi's price.

The new City does have ABS.

the appreciation from your family, relatives, colleague and even strangers when they see you owning a 'big' car.

In a nutshell , people are not very smart. They choose the most ridiculous reasons for buying a car.

"Hey , i'll buy an Xli , put an Altis badge on it and everyone will think im driving a "big" car!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!"

IMO the Liana and City are both much better deals. Yes yes , the Corolla is in a different category and all that , but that shouldn't apply over here since we have stripped down versions.

Ure right corolla sells because of brand recognition, mgr meire bhae koi aur option bhe to nae haina. Corollas only competitor was the Civic and it left the Gli market. (monopoly strikes again)

I agree that the three cars are of different sizes (esp swift falls in a totally different category). Corolla gives a bigger look, but what I am saying is in terms of value for money, other cars in the market offer more features for a much lesser price. (e.g city/sunny/liana are cheaper and better in terms of features - their only shortfall is slightly smaller size, compensating for which one can save lakhs....I wont get into the quality issue because everyone differs on it)

i have seen many people previously having civic reborn and now they are buying gli.My uncle was having civc reborn 07 and they have sold and bought gli 10 and they are saying that gli is better in terms of comfortable and its resale value is the most

secondly altho Liana is a bigger can then the Baleno but Liana and City are considered to be smaller sedans then Corolla.

in my opinion as a mehran hatchback cant be compared with a Cultus/Swift hatch back same goes for the City sedan and the Corolla sedan

I thought the same yesterday too!. Well, if this isn't a sign that Suzuki is winding up it's Pak operations?. The dismal sales of their 'bread and butter' cars should be a major cause for worry and an indication too.

the sales stats of Liana and Swift are alarming as well.. Suzuki would think a million times before bringing a new car in!
