they pay Indus motors in advance to book the car and then wait...I don't know the exact current situation but it used to be that the advance did not earn any interest or priority..priority still was given to people who either had a sifarish or paid 'premium' over and above the already unreasonably inflated price..all for a car that could be stolen with a folder paper clip... If only people would boycott the purchase of corollas till Indus motors / Toyota provided the same kind of features as in north america or elsewhere it would bring them to their knees ...but we vote to bring the nincompoops in power and then hire private security guards to protect our property while the people we bring to power travel in 20 car cavalcades...a common man pays 0.6 million or more in duty to import a used Vitz (Echo) while the elected import a Hummer limo in the garb of a 'BUS'!!!!

Well well.... The simplest & the cheapest & the most reliable options is "Design your own simple but tricky security features for your car.". For example an electronic or manual switch for the fuel pump to be hidden somewhere in the trunk (definitely location not known to even ur electrician as well..at-least you should do something with your own hands too) .... I bet thieves can't easily catch ur mind because I believe every mind is unique in this world & as per scientists, 9/10th of every mind is unused at the end of story.

In Alto disabling the fuel pump is very easy... clue: remove the bottom of the back seat (shh...)

Firstly, I was not defending anyone I was trying to let people know that tracker is no more a security for your car.
Secondly, If this is a cheap thread than you are also part of this. Just for your kind information this thread is for every member no matter what is his profession and its about sharing your experiences and finding solution. Firstly - its not directed to you or your office, secondly you being a lawyer and legal counsel for a tracking company i believe you have had to sort out some beef for them too, hence you can assert to how simple and juvenile the so called tracking systems are.

In Alto disabling the fuel pump is very easy... clue: remove the bottom of the back seat (shh...)

you should not be relying on just disabling the fuel pump, cut off the ignition system too, - but that is also very simple unless you install the ignition coil inside the cabin.

I would rather opt for a second switch placed in series with the one you mentioned & hidden at place that only I myself know & my be it's wiring embedded with the rear speaker cables & the switch may be attached to the speakers making almost impossible to track the wires., just a rough idea though... oops i did not intend to tell this all, now I have to change the plan :-#

if you read it again,, I had a beef with Trakker (in Karachi) - and they also have legal counsel (I thought as you are also of the same profession you would understand)

Now if you are part of every single law office in Pakistan - its pointed to you, and if you do work for Trakker (which you did not mention) then you would know the case for sure. Skip - oh, hmm nevermind.. you'll get offended again.. (waisay vikla hazraat kuch skip nahin kartay)

Let me tell you that of all the solutions I've ever come across on PWs on just any topic, Ive found Xulfiqar bros solutions/comments the most practical, logical, sequential and feasible.. So yeah... They were good again this time on this thread

come on guys, lets call it a day. Xulfiqar is right about the trakker thingy, wat use is a device if it cant do what its supposed to? i want to install a trakker in my car but not to know where i parked the car, but to have it work when it is supposed to.
we understand that thieves always find a way out, but the security company needs to find solutions for it, not start misbehaving with the customer who paid a lot of money for a security system. Some one said that a company called C-Track has designed there tracker to immobilize the car if the tracker signal is jammed, that is an improvement after research.
My point is that companies need to understand the value of customer service. and thats a right as some one whi has spent a lot of money.
Just look at poster's cousin who had a trakker installed but when he tried to use the devide, he was informed that the tracker has been disbled? If the security system is flawed, then y sell it/? imagine the posters gut feeling,

Ok so what other options do we of disabling stuff other than fuel pump ? Xulfiqar bhai please let me know if we can disable something else so that the car keeps cranking but won't start unless some weird combination of buttons are pressed i.e climate control buttons.
