Castrol Magnatec Motor Oil

Could u let me know wats the specialty of this Castrol Magnatec... Well I m using Shell Cng at the moment ...

well i will not advise changing oils till its for the better! i have used this oil since i have my car so i trust it to do its task. well as for the oil (magnatec) here is what it does :

1. it has active molecules which keeps your engine actively protected from wear and tear.
   2 . protects it on the inside and prevents soot and dust build up.
2. eases up starting as it clings to the friction spots and keeps them well lubricated (better start up and less friction)
3. protection and smoother ride and engine life for all driving styles.

i use magnatec in my generator heheeh acha oil hai not bad...the only reason y i bought it ws coz if its packing!i liked the packing of it!
as far as changing oil ka brands is concerned its ok cz i do it myself alot but as long as the vescosity doesnt change the rest is fine! for eg first i was using mobil1 ka 5w50 den i used liqui moly ka 5w40 den i switched to total ka 9000 which is 5w30..as long as the weight of the oil doesnt change the rest is fine! n secondly u can upgrade eg frm mineral to fully synthetic but u cant down grade eg frm fully synthetic to mineral..it will ruin ur engine coz fully synthetic is superior compared to mineral! if the engine aint looked after well n it has high mileage on it no point in using fully synthetic it will only loosen sludge in the engine n it will end up choking passages...

well whoever was da dealer of castrol in pakistan aint no more.
I know coz FMC got the dealer ship.I do business wid FMC and UDL and was offered dealership of castrol for sahiwal region just this evening.

Dont use this oil it will remove the polish from ur pistons and sleeves, as tested by friend of mine, he had added a smoke stop named teflon and his car was working fine, but after adding this oil the coating was removed by the chemicals in it and the car started smoking. And lots of others complaned the same.

Guys, pls advice:

i got a vitz, its 2000model. i dunno what oil does it have, i'm planning to change the oil also because my car doesn't start properly early in the morning in cold. I saw the ratings, for Vitz is 10w30-20w50. im thinking of getting a 10w30 also because it can start in cold and also wont be too thin in summers. But what i want to ask is, should i use synthetic right away, dunno what the previous guy has been using, or should i use magnetic(Caltex),

If synthetic, arent you suppose to clean the engine of some old residues(how to do it)? and once synthetic always synthetic is that the case? Please help me find the right oil for my car

i loved the oil till 1 brother said it polishes the engine! I am still confused as to is that good or bad ?? I like the oil! Awaiting a reply!!!

I have been using Castrol Magnatec in my Honda Civic 1995 Ex since 2002. I switched over to this oil to take advantage of its' advanced protection during the longish start ups experienced with CNG.

It is said that most of the cumulative engine wear occurs during the start up phase and the following few seconds. During this time, an ordinary engine oil is still in the oil pan (having drained there due to gravity) and critical engine parts run relatively "dry" as the oil pump is just starting to deliver oil at high pressure.

Magnatec overcomes this by sticking to metal parts thereby "holding the fort" till the engine has started and running steadily to drive the oil pump.

But that's not the only great thing about it. It's a top quality oil in many other respects. My personal experience has been very satisfactory. I still remember the first time I used this oil and how the engine seemed significantly quieter and smoother. My car has now done over 238,000 km and there is still no sign of oil consumption or loss of power. Recently I went to Nathiagali with a full load. Then a few days later made a day trip to my village on M1 (maintained 120 km/h most of the way). Still no problems.

I recommend Castrol Magnatec very highly. It's a shame Castrol hasn't done enough to market this lubricant properly in Pakistan. They don't even have a Pakistan specific website.
