I myself was seriously looking for an oil after petromin ultra 7 ( it was a damn good oil).

Abt fake Castrol,Brother that was what i thought too, i thought that Castrol company is dead after the PSO and castrol agreement ended..
However then i talked to company spokesman of castrol and they say that they have an agent in every big city, (try to get your oil from an authorized dealer, ask the castrol company abt their authorized dealers..).. they are really coopertive, i even advised them to advertize on Pakwheels but dont know why castrol is not advertizing on pakwheels..
you can get fake oil in all the brands, not just castrol, and believe me ZIC is quite notorious abt fake oils..

Now abt the efficacy of the oil, google for engine oil bible
and you will be able to understand what the engine oils should do. they say that 80% of damage to engine/valves etc occur during initial cold start Castrol magnetic clings to the engine parts till the next time the engine is started so that the wear is minimmized.

P.S i am not posting any links, numbers of castrol cause it may be against the pw policy, google it and you ll find your answers after you contact them..

While i also used Zic A 10w 40 which trun into dark yellowish after 2700 kilometers and qulaity is low then magnatec.

Dark oil does not indicate the need for an oil change. The way modern detergent motor oil works is that minute particles of soot are suspended in the oil. These minute particles pose no danger to your engine, but they cause the oil to darken. A non-detergent oil would stay clearer than a detergent oil because all the soot would be left on the internal engine parts and would create sludge. If you never changed your oil, eventually the oil would no longer be able to suspend any more particles in the oil and sludge would form. Fortunately, by following the manufacturer's recommended oil change interval, you are changing your oil long before the oil has become saturated. Remember, a good oil should get dirty as it does it's work cleaning out the engine. The dispersant should stop all the gunk from depositing in the oil pan.

Dear Zic A+ is fully synthetic and changing after 3k is strange. It should be change after 4k to 5k kilometers under normal condition.
