Days ago my car's cat convertor got chocked. I read over PWheels that acid will destroy the honey comb inside the catalytic. Following by an obvious question; what is standard product to clean the cat convertor ? I googled various forums and surprisingly know that there is no standard product for cat convertor clean. The various liquids introduced by brands like liqui moly are also acids. They might have controlled the acid density to reduce the interaction with metals. Pak-Suzuki also clean the CAT with water mixed kitchen acid. Acid wont damage it if used with care.
Get Liqui moly CAT cleaner. BTW its also an acid base. mixed with 2 portions of water. Dipped cat for like some 10 minutes and keep looking the honey combs. When you get desire clean level. Flush well with water. Try to clean with O2 sensor with IPA. other wise use carb cleaner.
